All I've got is this low-res scan of a print I took at Oulton in 1971...
Probably of no use, but I can try to find it and re-scan it if you think it's worth it.

I have looked through my old pics for Ian on this and I know for certain I took a black/white photo of it in the paddock at Snett on Good Friday '71. I recall it was blue and white with stripes in these colours on the front end. I even remember it was no.11, having looked at this photo for years, problem is I haven't a clue where the photo is now despite hunting high and low! Different to Twinny's photo without the wide front nose.

Absolutely - all historic cars should run in period colour schemes IMO.
Malaya Garages were the entrants IIRC.

Hmmm. This appears to happen for the most part (not that I follow the current historic scene at all closely) but is it, or should it be, mandatory? I say that because if I were fortunate enough to own and race (or I should say "have someone race it for me" - I know my place) an old car, I'd really like to have it in a colour scheme of my choosing. I guess most of us had our teenage fantasy racing teams with their own colour schemes, and it would it be nice to see it actually come to life. I'll have an orange and silver Lotus 72, please.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, Malaya Garage didn't run their LT25 in 1972 - they were on to the LT27 by then

This is how I remember the car looking at Snetterton on Good Friday '71. This is from Autosport, March 18th '71, page 3.
At Snett it had been painted in blue and white. Trying to recall from the missing photo I took:
I think there were a number of parallel blue and white stripes running out of the rad outlet up to the cockpit. The large wing may have been painted too or left bare metal with large letters MALAYA on it. A white roundel with 11 on it was placed over the stripes on the curve on the rad exit.
But there again, did the large wing have the stripes on it?
Now where is that photo!?

The LT25 ran as #11 in 1971 and David's right that they didn't run it in 1972 or 1973. Also, Matchett and Shaw ran it as #26 or #27 so it isn't them.
Maybe the "Victory Race" at Brands at the end of 1971?
