In the Piers Courage biography, there's a short bit on the Lucas team's feeings on the Lotus 41.

The chassis was said to be a bot on the floppy side, and that they had to substantially reinforce it. There's also mention of the suspension geometry being inherently wrong.

Does anyone else share this view of the 41?
Does anyone know the details of what changes the Lucas team made to their 41's?

About 1980 I took this photo of a 41 chassis-reputedly ex Lucas-in a shop belonging to a friend in Portland Oregon-sorry it isn't more complete and no, I do not know what the chassis # was:

Thanks.

Looks pretty conventional from this distance.
