I have asked the widow of Tom for a photo of Tom`s grave. If I should get one I will post it here.

Thanks Bernd. It is important, I think, to remember our lost racers.

It's my understanding that the grave of Tom Phillis lies in the Douglas Borough Cemetery on the Glencrutchery Road and right next to the start/finish line of the TT course. Can you please confirm that?

@Paul:Yes you are right, I also have heard so.I also have seen a picture of it on a website. But the picture is not more longer on the website, so I have asked the owner of the website. He wrote back: It would takte too much time for searching

Via the Australian Jounalist Don Cox I stay in contact with the widow of Tom.So I am confident to get one. :)

I telephoned the cemetery/crematorium and was told that there was no burial and that his ashes were scattered in the Garden of Remembrance. At about TT time, numerous riders call in there and ask the same thing. It possible that a memorial plaque was placed there though.

Good site it is too, some nice shots of fifties/sixties Australian racing.

Manxman, after scanning and naming your pics, find a free picture hosting site and upload from your desktop or equivalent onto that site. Once they're there, simply copy the code for forums/hotlinks or whatever options are available, come back here and post it where you want.
