The screenshots and movies look pretty good and personally I can't wait for this game!

What do you all think about it?

yup cannot wait for this !!! Its been way too long since we've got any decent stuff to see on it though. There's a vid on the marketplace of it being tested, but its running like at 20fps and was far from complete. Seeing as it was pencilled in for last year, then pushed back to feb/march, then pushed back to whenever... there must be something they can release to show us what they've been doing!! Please... anything :)

yep, it's on the market place now - a mate says there are tons of cars to play with, no idea how many tracks or if there's a multiplayer demo yet though as he's obviously too busy playing it to reply to e-mails!

I had a go, was most fun with the group A cars for me, but I think I geeked out over the engine notes :)

thats a thing too, had to drop all volume except own car engine level before I could hear it from the front views. but once that was done I was happy

Yeah that's true. With the C and A cars turning off the TCS is also a good idea. But I relly enjoed it and have preordered from Gameplay. Less then a few weeks to go now...

FERRARI 512TR is back!!!!!

That was my hope, my testrossa 512 being back.

If anyone remembers the hotlap contests we had some years ago, the 512tr was bloody enjoyable.

I still play Forza 1 on it, it was such a great simuator, could spend ages refining set ups for the ferrari 512 TR!!

I actually think DIRT is the sleeper hit of the summer... :smoking: Demo is quite nice!!!

But I still can't wait for tuesday's Forza!!!. I've been counting the nights left to sleep until release day like I didi when I was a kid before X-Mas!!!

tried the demo last night at a mates, and i must say it was pretty good fun... the TVR with no driveraids was a bit of a handfull, but the ferrari 430 and the lambo was both pretty good... and the sound is really good

The wheel i used seemed to have a "deadspot" on the center, but not sure if that was the wheel or the game? the FF was atleast pretty good, but i would have prefered it with a bit more weight in the steering.. guess both these things can be tweaked in the full game though...

All in all, pretty neat, but i'm not sold on getting an xbox 360 just yet ;)

Gamestop didn't receive my copy on Tuesday like they were supposed to, so I called all my other stores like Bestbuy Toys R Us and so forth, and everyone said there still en route, supposedly due to the fact that Monday was a Holiday...but no worries, it was on this mornings freight truck.

So far it seems to be all they claimed it would be. It's just going to take some time to get thru the game to be able to purchase the cars that I really want to drive(real racing machines). I bought the wheel also, and I must say, that I'm not all that impressed with it, the DFP was a much more solid wheel.

Game= :love:

I don't have live currently, but I have the game, and am enjoying it alot, you really can feel the adhesion as you fight the car on the limit, hats off to the developers for the physics engine, it's awesome.

Had some great online races last night. We varied the tracks quite a bit but the two short Suzuka tracks seemed to provide the most competitive races. We stuck to Class D (my Focus battled well!!) which, while not the most thrilling cars, did provide real close and mostly clean racing.

Has anyone tried the Xbox wheel that was supposedly designed with this game in mind? We've got a huge Xbox cult at Haymarket and everyone is playing Forza 2 and i'm thinking about not buying the new computer I was considering and instead going whole hog on an xbox 360 setup.

I tried the wheel in the shop when they had a sort of time competition. It felt good but I don't really have anything to compare it to because I never had a wheel!

To be honest, good though Forza 2 is (and it's very good, and I've made the fastest, most dangerous Saab ever, and it rocks), I wouldn't bother shelling out for a wheel on it. There are other sims for the PC which are, in terms of realism, far better (though probably not as much fun as Forza). I've got GTR2 and Race which, coupled with my Logitech G25 are things of beauty . . . .

Having said all that, the G25 cost me an arm and a leg, as did the PC that runs GTR2 well. There's alot to be said for the budget option.

As for the wheel, I'm sticking with the standard controller. I've always raced with it and for the cost I don't think the wheel offers anything I can't live without. I guess it adds realism, but when I know I'm playing a console game staring at my tv screen I'm quite happy with what I've got

Ross, the online aspect of Forza is fairly standard. Unranked and ranked races, the latter earning you credits in your career, as well as team racing which I haven't tried yet but which could be a great addition, particularly with the use of 'team' liveries!! If you get a group of competitive clean racers in your lobby then an evening can disappear rather quickly!!

We should do a Atlas championship for career cars. Something nice and easy like C or D class . .

As for COD online . . . thats some of the best fun I've had in my life. You haven't lived until you've shot someone in the head from the top of an oil tank from 500 yards away when just five minutes ago he was calling you a "Scots fag" over the voice thing . . . :D

Well it's possible to use the wheel on the PC as well so it's not a bad buy, I'm sticking to the controller as well though :)

I went anf bought the MS wheel and returned it the same day. HUGE dead zone in the middle then once you actually make the wheels turn it was uncontrollable. No feel whatsoever with the wheel where with the regular controller its as if you can fell the car coming loose.

Too bad there isnt G25 support....I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I'm in for an Atlas league by the way.
