I just heard through the club racer grapevine yesterday that Harold "Hal" Keck passed away at age 75. Hal was mostly a club racing driver but did share the driving duties in the GT class winning Cobra Daytona Coupe at the 1965 Daytona Continental. 1965 and Daytona was very good to Hal, because the would also go on to win the A Production SCCA National Campionship in his own Cobra.

Saw him race a number of times including a convincing win in the 427 Cobra at Cumberland in 1965.

My goodness, I am sorry to hear this. He was a very decent guy in my dealings with him way back when.

I have only met one US driver in person , but al lot of them I "know" through interviews , races or results. It is allways sad when one passes away, so also with Hal . RIP.
