Good morning everyone. I bought this print on Ebay for my cousin who is mad about mk2 Jags.
I'd like to find out when it was taken and also the drivers. It's obviously Silverstone in the early 60's.....
Thanks indeed for any help!

I'd say Jack Sears in Tommy Sopwith's car JAG 400, think it is the Coombs car behind - Salvadori however didn't Colin Chapman have a race in it?
Stirling also drove JAG 400 in his only MkII drive, however no.42 on the car, not 36.

I'm fairly certain that this is the British Grand Prix meeting 16th July and it's Jack Sears
( dark helmet) in the Equipe Endeavour 3.8 Mk II battling with Colin Chapman in the John Coombs Jag, during their great 12 lap dice.
This was one of the first Grand Prix meetings I attended where GP drivers were not allowed to drive in the support races so, whereas the International Trophy Saloon car race in May saw Moss, Hill ,Salvadori etc ., this rather poorly supported race saw the above battling mightily-Chapman winning over Sears with Sir Gawaine Baillie 3rd.
This meeting ,of course, saw Graham Hill oh-so-nearly win the GP in the BRM P48 when after stalling at the start he stormed through to take the lead only to spin into retirement at Copse 6 laps from the finish.

I think you will find this is the support race to the 1960 British Grand Prix at Silverstone with Jack Sears ahead of Colin Chapman in the Coombs Jaguar : and Colin won.
