I've certainly never seen the car in JPS livery with this airbox. It looks to me like the 1971 'box on a 72/73 car??

Are you bidding for it? It's different, not sure if I like it, but certainly never seen it before.

If only......my mate used to work on track maintenance at Brands for George and Rose Officer, he cleared out an old room one day in the Pavillion....it seemed it was an old press photographers room, the boxes of photos were just incredible, all black and white and all the names back to 500c.c F3, we looked at them on rainy evenings (no information super highway then) and now all these years later (30 plus), no one has any idea what happened to them.....

Yes, that's the conclusion I'd come to, as well.

The Aussie, who did so well in F3, but never cut the mustard in F1, one of Colin's dissapointments, and personally, one of mine to, as I saw him race many times and he was a cracking driver. Especially in the lovely Lotus 59.

Great point, David. I wonder if the picture might be from a livery test, before changing from Gold Leaf to JPS for 1972?Originally posted by David M. Kane
In those days it wasn't uncommon to test something only once and move on to something else.
I remember seeing all kinds of nosecone on Tyrrells in those years.

Emmo and Dave Walker did use it during practice at the 1972 Argentine GP in JPS colours, but carried #11 & #12.
