Dear All
I am new to this forum and despirate for some help. I am undertaking a build of a replica GT40 which I would like to base around an Alan Mann car. I have a few photographs from the usual books but have to admit to struggling to find any decent pictures at all. Can anybody help?
Regards Martin Gough

I would suggest that you go to "Search BB" at the top right of the page, and enter "Ford GT40 nostalgia photographs" in the appropriate box and click 'Nostalgia Forum' in the list of choices and then 'search'. This will bring you to a thread that was very active till recently with many photos of numerous GT40s and leads on people to contact. What are the origins of your replica?

Hi David
Thanks for the reply.
I already have a replica loosely based on an Alan Mann car but would like to build a much closer replica. The chassis I will be using is from a company called SouthernGT based in Southampton. Basically it a modern version of the well known GTD chassis. I should have the chassis home in a few weeks with the suspension fitted. I will be fitting a 320 ford and a new Quaiffe trans axle to replicate the ZF box. I estimate about 12 months to complete the project. If its possible on this site I could post some pictures.
Regards Martin.

Martin, follow the instructions in the 'Posting your images" sticky exactly. Once Image Shack has accepted the image--after you click "Host It'--it gives you a choice of methods of posting. Choose the second method, high light (Make it turn blue) the displayed address (which is what you posted here I think), then click "Edit" on the tool bar at the top of your screen and then "Copy" from the drop down menu. Open your response in this Forum, put the cursor where you want the picture, click "Edit" again and this time choose "Paste". That should do it but it took me about a year to learn that and many have not learned it yet....
