A friend of a friend is in the process of buying a March 722.
He has a picture of it, being driven by Francois Cevert at Thruxton. The car has a white star on the radiator pod. I thought this might indicate a graded driver but investigation by a prominent TNEffer seems to discount this theory. So... why is it there?
Copyrite unknown, but possibly MotorSport.
It is chassis #4 and the gentleman is interested in where it has been for the last 35 years.

Barry
I would urge your friend or a friend to make sure he fills in the gap of 35 years before making an investment.
There is a pretty good thread on March 722s at the other place.
A question there should move you forward. Or email me at allen@oldracingcars.com if you don't want the current location of the car to be public.

Allen,
Too late, it's already in the garage!
Actually I already know where it's been for 99% of that time and someone well known to you will hopefully be able to fill in the rest.
But the reason for the original question from Barry is that I would like to restore the car to it's original livery and wondered the significance of the star. I have pictures of the car from other events and the start doesnt seem to be in evidence.
Regards,
Todd Willing

I thought "someone well known to me" mentioned that car when I saw him earlier this week.
Good. You'll be well looked after.

He probably got the star for being a good boy. If it was two stars it meant that he could give out the pencils
