F1 Comedy Moments

Thought we could have a fun thread.......so fanboys are banned......
What I wnated to ask, is what are the funniest moments yet seen in F1.......
I'd like to open the bidding with a Murray Walker commentary....I believe it was at the French GP in the mid 80s?.....and if I remember correctly, it was either the first time that this track had been used for F1...or the last time it was used for F1.....but the comedy went a bit like this.....(Wish I could find it on YouTube)....
Someones engine blew in a big way on the pit straight........Fire and flame.......he pulls up near the end of the pit wall...car going up like a over fueled BBQ........
Out trots a fire marshall, who is too affraid to get near enough to the car for his extuinguisher to work....this goes on for some moments...the fire really takes hold, and so a proper fire engine is called for.......it reverses near the end of the pit wall, into position where it can present a fire hose to the raging F1 car........the hose team are ready to shoot, and pull the hose handle to let the water go.....but at this exact moment, the hose pops out of the back of the fire truck, splasing water all over the track, and none on the fire......
All I can really remember from Murrays commentary was his final sarcastic comments...something like
"A truely Brilliant performance from the fire marshalls".......
Any other funny F1/Motorsport tales?

A classic the DC unconventional pitlane entry , a Hamilton move "avant la lettre" one might say ;)
Montoya bumps into a stationary cameraman and starts shouting obscenities.
Piquet and Salazar fight in Hockenheim.

But the all-time winner of this is Taki Inoue.

I remember reading at the time Brambilla was so thrilled with the win, he failed to keep both hands on the wheel (celebrating) and lost the car.

-The teams trying to unsuccessfully copy Brabham's active suspension during the height of the bickering at Zolder, with cars driving around in practice with various corners stuck in the air. Villeneuve managed a 4th with a Ferrari that was all screwed up.
-Colin Chapman concluding an angry letter over banning of the Lotus 88 with "By the time you read this I will be watching the U.S. space shuttle, an engineering achievement which will refresh me from what I've been through here."
-The driver strike in a secluded hotel at the start of 1982, with Bruno Giacomelli drawing cartoon caricatures of various F1 personnel.
-Rene Arnoux arrested for driving to his hotel with a policeman on the hood of his car after he wouldn't wait in a traffic line (Jacques Laffite managed to almost get Prost arrested by mistake)
-Alan Jones getting out of his highway car to confront a motorist, then regretting it when two large men emerged from the other car...he drove the next race(s) with a cast on his wrist
Also:
-Any of the solemn, joyless podiums during the Prost/Senna/Piquet/Mansell era.

I think it was f1rejects.com who said that the 1993 model Ferraris looked like the "Dallaras' not-too-distant cousins" . That white stripe sure was
Here's a comparison: Ferrari and Dallara

I don't know about Grouillard, but the international feed caught Gregor Foitek in the same act at Phoenix in 1990.Originally posted by Matt Hughes
I'm convinced I saw this, but as I was only six at the time my mind may be playing tricks on me. Anyhow, the BBC were showing the build up to the start of the 1989 Belgian Grand Prix with some shots from the crowded grid. There were the cars, there were the personel, there were the minglers... and there, having a quick pee in a nearby bush, was Olivier Grouillard.
Not seen it since, but I'm reasonably sure it happened.

It was Philippe Streiff's engine fire at the 1986 French Grand Prix in Paul Ricard.
His Tyrrell caught fire and parked outside the pits entry. A marshal comes in with an extinguisher but the fire was too strong. So a large fire truck arrived at the scene. Then when some of the firemen was ready to put some foam into the car, the tank of the foam had too much pressure and spat out the hose from the tank!
It split a lot of foam into the entry of the pitlane!
Very fitting especially after de Angelis' fatal accident.
