The car was based on a 1968 A.E.C. coach chassis and build new for JWAE. First reg.no. was 1129BH followed by 069KX before ending up with KKX328G.
On the transporter thread it can be seen at posts : 587 , 595 , 601 , 987 , 1214 . 1304 , 1516 , 1597 , 1654.
John Horsman , well known from Aston Martin , Ford , JWAE , Gulf Research Racing and Harley Cluxton/GTC as well as author of the great book "Racing in the rain" , writes :
I am searching for the AEC Race Car Transporter which was commissioned in 1967 to carry the Ford Mirage and GT 40 race cars around Europe for JW Automotive Engineering Ltd. It subsequently carried Porsche 917 race cars also . Originally painted light blue and orange in the colours of sponsor , Gulf Oil , it was left hand drive. Later it was lettered "Gulf Research Racing" still blue and orange.
In 1976 it was purchased , along with the 1975 Le Mans winning Mirages , by American Harley E. Cluxton III ,
of Phoenix , Arizona . There it was repainted yellow , red and black and lettered "Grand Touring Cars" , and last seen by me around 1982.
It has disappeared somewhere in the USA . Does anyone know of its whereabouts , please ?
John Horsman , Tucson , AZ.

I like the "box-on-wheels" look of transporters of that era.

At Monterey in....1994 ,the GTC transporter inthe back.
May be you have better to ask the question first to J.Hortsman and to GTC to know that became that truck .

And this picture ...1994 .
We can reasonably think that GTC knows the next owner after them..? who?We can think that J.Horstman has asked this question to GTC .

Many old transporters have been found and restored or rebuild , why not this one .
My involvement is purely out of enthusiasm , and I have not been promised any rewards............................
Or do you have other ideas how to search ?
