Toyota could have done better. Bit disappointed with them to be honest.
BMW are shambles. It is as if Mario is trying to get the HQ to cancel their F1 involvement.
Only one retirement in such high temperatures.

Barichello not he was lucky to not be further down. Also his strategy was crap
Kimi Good race with a good strategy (shame for his last pitstop, he could have been 5th)
Toyota had a bad strategy with using the hards in the middle stint.

This circuit sucks.
TV coverage sucks.
I hope they ban refuelling for 2010.

Thought Trulli would take it initially, but great drive by Button
Trulli, Vettel, Kimi

Eeeeeh? Did you watch the same Grand Prix as I did? The first 5 laps were amazing. Up front decent, midfield absolutely riveting.
Great drive by Button. But Brundle said it right: the top is already so close together that the winning team and driver have to do everything right: every lap, every in-lap, every outlap.
Brawn and Button did it best today. It could have been Vettel, Glock or Hamilton, or Trulli.

The first laps were painful. The cars were so slow the two drivers were holding up everyone. And then they disappeared (into the dust) once everyone got past them.

Kubica may want to kill Mario...

Yeah, interesting how Hamilton was easily eaten by Button in the beginning.

OK, but a GP is not just 5 laps. Maybe they're right when saying the races should be shorter.
BTW, BMW should rent "Albert 2" to look for alien life or something. His newest creature is ugly and slow.

Good race for Lewis to finish 4th ...car is till too slow.
Toyota is a good car but their drivers are just not good enough.
Solid race from Vettel...Red Bull not as good in the dry
Kimi scores points for Ferrari at last! Massa was bad though.
Alonso disappointing...Piquet a non-event as usual
Kova shockingly bad, and Fisi should be fired
Overall it was a rather boring race, but I'm happy with the result

I was surprised when he was behind Vettel as I expected him to make up ground on the straights.

Perhaps they are beatable in qualifying but their race pace is still superior.
Good race by Vettel once again. He is the guy to keep the WDC fight open.
McLaren are on their way up. From all the "big teams" they have made the biggest step forward since the beginning of the season. Maybe Hamilton will still have a shot at the title too.
Finally points scored by Ferrari. Well done Kimi.

I am struggling to recall in whole F1 history when a team would be handed over such unique decision. Very uppsetting it is.
That's a severe case of sour grapes you have there, you ought to get it checked out.

Their title would be as fair as Renault's in 2006. Get over it already!

Next time, when Ross tells the teams that the diffuser regulations need to be tightened up, perhaps they won't be so hasty in telling him to piss off.

BAD results: Massa, BMWs, Kova
Webber, from 18th to 11. His problem was Q1.
Good races: Of course Jenson, Vettel, Trulli and Hamilton. Lewis did also a great start. i think it has been critical to his good result.
Kimi and Fernando have delivered average, they gave what car has to offer.
This is a pretty simple circuit regarding driver's management, differences were minimal.

Not to mention the Brawn is in another league in terms of pace compared to the Mac

Sort of. i do think you are misjuding the tyre situation, Toyota made a meal of it and Vettel never had clean air with the right tyres on, IMHO he could have run much faster, he only had clean air with the poorer tyre.

button was also almost sucuideally late on the brakes on that pass as well, i'm amazed he held it..
very very impressed with the reliability of the cars, except ofcorse Massa's KERS, which seems to be just comically bad..
i'm happy BMW is at the back, since they've made the ugliest car in the history of motorsport..
you gotta wonder about Rubens and Toyota's strategy. Trulli and Glock both had clear air. Surely it would have made sense to stick on the soft tyres, but then hindsight is a great thing. i guess they didn't realise how bad the prime tyres were going to be

Trulli would clearly have challenged Button for the win, had it not been for the stupid decision to use primes in the middle stint.

No because it is the team that does the best interpretation of the regs that wins the season...

I'm all agog for what BMW brings to Barcelona. Technically, it can only be better, right?

Vettel and Trulli had a good race. I was amazed that Glock falled behind so much with the primes, Trulli held positions and got a podium.
Lewis, great race by him with the everimproving McLaren
Kimi drove a solid race with no mistakes
Rubens was all over the place. And what was with all the waiving? He was for position... But he still got 5th with 3 stops
Piquet was not his usual dissapointing self, he had an okay race.
Kova

At this point, using rubber-band power would probably be better than what they've got.

Implications then are, that other teams are less competent (having not taken the same route), or Brawn went a bit further, and is getting away with it. Without diffuser on Button's car Seb would have won the race.Originally posted by Scotracer
