Just a note let folks here know veteran driver Earl brooks passed away July 21 th 2010

Earl was one of those field starters who did as best as he could with what he was handed. One of Wendell Scott's best supporters. And while not a "name" in the sport, those who remember NASCAR races in the late 1960- mid 1970's will recall Earl as a decent driver and a plus to the history of NASCAR as well.

And

NASCAR Winton cup car owner Don Robertson passed away on July 18 2010. Jabe Thomas #25 is his most famous driver but Don got two wins in Grand nationals while listed as the car owner for Richard Petty .
Don also supplied many cars for many drivers in Nascar's top series too and as such should also be remembered as a plus in the history of NASCAR.

I have a question now . Earl Brooks drove for Don Robertson in about 25-30 races over the years and i wonder if the instance of a car owner and driver passing away so close together naturally has ever occured? I would not count accident induced deaths.
