Paul Ernst Strähle died on Wednesday 27th October. RIP.

RIP Herr Staehle, a most versatile driver.

Back in the day when Strahle was racing Porsches the team used to drive many of the cars out to races and back. Jenks told a story of seeing Strahle and Linge leaving Sicilly (I think) in a pair of cars which had finished the race and arriving next day at the works in Zuffenhausen, after flying up himself (unusual for him) and seeing them arriving at the factory, a bit tired but quite cheerful.

They don't make them like that any more.
