Hamilton should be a 10 IMO.
#5
Posted 31 March 2011 - 06:19
Especially for his off road episode... 9 for Hamilton is a very proper IMO.You can't give Hamilton and Vettel the same score.
Hamilton should be a 10 IMO.

Heidfeld made 1 mistake on his first qualifying run. The second run was compromised by Karthekiyan and Schumi (that gor a reprimand for it).
In the race Heidfeld made a good start but picked up extensive damage. (Pictures in the relevant thread).
Barrichello on the other hand beached his car in qualifying. Had a lousy start of the race and ended up assualting Rosberg taking him out.

Is Joe Saward one of the judges, or is Tonio getting all-around pity points these days?

The floor broke before his off, he must have lost a lot of downforce balance etc.Especially for his off road episode... 9 for Hamilton is a very proper IMO.
but Lewis managed to drive the damaged car for nearly the half race and still got 2nd.

And I appreciate his effords and his great job all weekend long and that's why I think 9 is ok. Lewis was great but not flawlessThe floor broke before his off, he must have lost a lot of downforce balance etc.

btw, liuzzi a 6? for what exactly, beating a guy that doesn't even deserve to be rated?
and why does di resta deserve two points over sutil? mind boggling, considering kobayashi didn't get the upper hand on perez based on qualifying time. autosport driver ratings as confusing as ever ;)
and there's plenty of other questionable stuff there. the overrating of virgin drivers continues

if you have the best car you can never be perfect. Don't you guys remember how bad Mansell and Prost were in 92 and 93?
How can anyone be judged perfect?

Why Vettel only 9? What did he do wrong? Ridiculus.
well i reckon half the grid could of done what he did ;)

9 for Vettel coz he did every thing right in a faster car? lol
I am also surprised to see Vettel with a nine... It was an excellent weekend for him with a Pole Position and a win... His pace advantage over team mate Webber was enormous...

Heidfeld was lucky to even finish the race, kovalainen outperformed Trulli by a clear margin, Alonso was unlucky at the start but made crusial overtakes at the starting laps and outperformed Massa by a clear margin, and what did Vettel do wrong?

It's quite obvious he should have lapped the field in that car.
Typical Ed Straw bias - sack him.

Not sure about Di Resta getting a 9, after all he came 12th (nothing spectacular) maybe a 7 was about right, on a par with Sutil
D'Ambrosio barely got into the race and was 4 laps down so his pace has to be questioned (althogh maybe the car had a problem). I'd give him 5 or 6
The rest I dont have a problem with.

Liuzzi 6
Is Joe Saward one of the judges, or is Tonio getting all-around pity points these days?
I actually think that one might be kinda fair. Liuzzi got within 1.7 seconds of qualifying with fewer than 15 laps in the Rolling Chicane. On the other hand, giving Rosberg the same score for getting torpedoed by Rubens and Heidfeld a 1 for being blocked in qualifying and having a bomb go off in his sidepod is a little eyebrow-raising.

Glock & d'Ambrosio 7? Trulli 6? the marussia's weren't even racing, they were just driving around albert park. Trulli was fast as hell on soft tyres, and he lapped them
Liuzzi 6? Joe, is that you?

Heidfeld 1? Kovalainen and Trulli both 6? Vettel 9? Alonso 7?
Heidfeld was lucky to even finish the race, kovalainen outperformed Trulli by a clear margin, Alonso was unlucky at the start but made crusial overtakes at the starting laps and outperformed Massa by a clear margin, and what did Vettel do wrong?
The 1 for Heidfeld buggers me a bit. IMHO no vote would have been better, if we consider his troubles and the traffic in Q1 and the massive bodywork damage suffered after an excellent start.

Yeah, in next Unreal Tournament there should be rank "Kubicca" instead of Godlike

So Alonso qualifies his team mate by 7 tenths, finishes the race 40 seconds ahead of him, and storms from 10th to 4th, yet only gets a 7? Ridiculous. His bad start was a situational thing, that often happens , it was not overly his fault. He deserved an 8 or maybe 9.
eh?
and a 40 second gap to philipe is not what it used to be, the little fella has lost some mojo. you saw the way webbo drove around him at turn one - when he had absolutely no right to do so.

8 for Vettel? I don't remember him doing anything wrong, the strategy was wrong, but it's not his fault.
see webber's 7 for malaysia where he didn't have KERS and gets shuffled back in the pack. Both probably made slow starts but you're right not much mistakes in their drives
#48
Posted 21 April 2011 - 11:52
Webber totally screwed up qualifying...

He didn't even get out of Q1.Webber should have got 10.

If Vettel is given an 8 so should Rosberg, he outbroke himself into the hairpin, and got overtaken by Button. which meant he ultimately lost out to Mark.
Webber's score is spot on if we look at the race weekend as a whole, and the fact that he has the fastest car.
I would have given Sutil higher. Desperately unlucky to have had Perez swing into him, and had been running 11th, and so was on course to beat Diresta
Liuzzi jumpstarted, yet is given a 7 in comparison to Barichello (6) who got 13th, probably the maximum out of the car.
