best:
Force India

but dunno, nothing really amazing here.
Dont understand the love for Mclarens livery, if you compare it to what they had before, then it's just a big downgrade.

Worst:
sauber, easily

most improved:
HRT

Best: Caterham. I'm pretty keen on the Mercedes livery too. In fact, most of the liveries are nice (though a little unsurprising) this year.

Worst: Toro Rosso, simply because it's too similar to Red Bull and a better option exists. Sauber's is very drab too.

Most Improved: Toss up between HRT and Force India for me.

The irony with Sauber is that on any other team with a light livery, moving to black/dark wheels would be an improvement. Sauber, the team that needed an improvement the most, now have shitty looking wheels compared to the Hot Wheels/70s F1 awesomeness of the last few seasons.

Best: Force India
Worst: Williams
Most Improved: HRT

I voted HRT most improved because I got their 2011 livery confused with the 2010 one :o . I actually loved their livery last year.

Lotus really have some gross sponsors this year. Clear (anti dandruff), Rexona (deodorant) and Japan Rags (err...)

F1 is suffering from a dearth of sponsors, so I'll be glad with any brands pumping money into the sport.

I think this topic is becoming harder and harder each year, because in the main the teams stick so rigidly to their brand guidelines they rarely innovate with their colour schemes any more. I miss the days when part of launch season was the surprise of what colour the new cars were going to be. Now, as sure as apples are apples, Mclaren will have their dull chrome livery, Red Bull will be blue etc etc... that and Ferrari will have plenty of badly placed sponsor decals.

This year, I'm enjoying the use of proper gold (are you looking Lotus) on the Toro Rosso; although the slight addition of black to Force India has vastly lifted their livery. The Sauber is a total mess, I honestly wonder what they were thinking when they came up with that monstrosity.

best is hard to choose. There are 5 or 6 cars that look best for different reasons.

worst is Marrusia. That black/red zebra is very tacky and horrible. Makes Sauber look elegant.

I really do not understand the hate with Sauber's minimalistic livery.

Williams for me holds the award for most boring livery.

I also disagree with the many people voting McLaren as the best. It is of course bias and most people on this board are McLaren fans but this livery is meh at best. McLaren has had some of the best liveries EVER. Glitzy chrome and red? come on. Mac should go back to the west livery, no shiny stuff, more black less red.

My least favorite livery element on the grid is certain sponsor colors that ruin liveries. Lotus goes through all the trouble to bring an incarnation of possible THE best livery ever and they go an RUIN it with those freaking red Total sides. The greenish petronas stuff on the merc isn't that great either.

MacLaren's livery is stale. In Australia the V* Supercars had used a similar chrome and orange red theme for some years. this year they have moved to a predominately red orange scheme. OK but not great

The barriers for this year's Australian Grand prix reflect the lack of corporate sponsorship. There are acres of unsponsored barriers. The most curious item of sponsorship is a Jeep on a pole. It looks like the annual Goodwoor mural on a very severe budget. Believe it or not Jeep is the Offical "Off Course" vehicle for the 2012 Unsponsorsed Australian Grand Prix. Jeep and F!, I don't think so!

Worst Sauber so dull,it looks like it was sitting under a bridge for years.

Most improved I voted FI.

In my opinion, the macca is the worst . . back in 2006 it looked "the ****" but now, it looks terrible

On the other hand, the Williams, looks like a "race car" - beastie looking thing

I miss tobacco branding :-(

Best – McLaren is clearly the best but Lotus isn't far behind.

Worst – HRT has a nice solid new gold and white logo and brand identity but their car livery is perplexingly non-matching and idealess.

Most Improved – Force India but the colour palette is still horrendous.

Best: Force India
Worst: Red Bull (come on, it's just a giant Red Bull logo, Toro Rosso is also pretty bad, it could at least say Toro Rosso instead of Red Bull on the sides, it's almost exactly the same as Red Bull except with some gold)
Most Improved: HRT (they were the only ones to drastically change their livery anyway, the rest are more or less the same as last year)

Best, McLaren. The shape (no stepped nose) helps, but as always, this scheme look great on an F1 car.

Worst, Marussia. So boring and blocky. Run close by Sauber, but the tabloid-red and black just look so basic on this basic car.

Most improved, Force India. I don't usually like FI's livery - too gaudy. But it looks a bit classy this year, colours seems slightly darker, bit more thought gone in to the layout.

Ferrari need to go back to black wings and gold rims. Also is it just me or does the F2012 seem to be a slightly darker shade of red than normal, they need to go back to a more vibrant red.

Williams is my favourite (I know I'm a little biased) although the pure dark blue testing livery is better.
I liked Sauber's old one, but this year it looks like a panda.
Last years HRT was funky but a bit of a mess, this year's looks really nice.

Best: Mercedes GP - elegant and light

Worst: Sauber is biggest dog's breakfast, but the Caterham just looks like a tractor to me with its horrible John Deere colour scheme.

Most improved: No big improvements, maybe Williams or Force

Best: HRT. Even if their cars aren't the fastest ones, they have the best livery for the 2nd season in row.
Worst: Sauber. Their '11 livery wasn't too bad, but this is terrible. Marussia is just as terrible.
Most improved: Force India. Last year they had their worst livery, this year their best.
