So...a format hopefully for seeing how popular they all are,

Select as many or as few as you like. Please only vote for your main favourite(s) though, since you'll be rating them all the same in effect.

Poll fixed now...

Schumi is probably the one I cheer for most often. For the other drivers, I root for in certain situations but not in others.

1. Lewis Hamilton
2. Fernando Alonso
3. Michael Schumacher

There is a lot of hype about Lewis and his driving style but for me I know the finest driver ever to come out was Ayrton Senna. I respect Schumacher the most for all his achievements and also because he stabilized and rejuvenated my favourite team in Formula 1 (The Scuderia). As each day go by, I'm becoming a bigger Alonso fan simply because you can always count on him to give you a thrill and he is by no means a boring driver. He also has a unique character which I appreciate at times but also dislike at times. Lewis' drive wake me up as always, I am never ever bored when I see him racing. He always does his business with a bang and that's what I want in F1. I am absolutely thrilled to have all 3 of my favourite drivers on the grid at the same time.

What a rubbish poll, you basically can vote for all the drivers. Just say you are a F1 fan then. I prefer the one you can only vote for one driver, it shows who people will stand with.

But a result of that poll was that some drivers (eg Rosberg) had 1 vote. This one enables a broader measure of a driver's popularity and isn't about who "people stand with" as the last one was.

I don't understand. If you did vote for all the drivers it would be the same as voting for none. Why can't you vote for the drivers you're a fan of, and not the others?

Why do Glock etc. get their own confusing little box where you have to select one of them or separately mention you're not their fan? :D

Edit: Probably because you can only select 20 options for a poll. Never mind.

What's the problem with that?

So you can't stand with more than one driver

As someone who works in the Market Research industry, I have to disagree. The results from multi-response questions are more difficult to analyse, but they provide a much richer (and truer) picture of opinions.

People seem to think they are more important if their driver wins a poll.

Everyone please vote for Hamilton because we are going to keep getting these polls until he wins one.

Vettel - Constantly slandered becuase 'hes only winning cause hes in a great car'
Hamilton - is a 'true racer' despite having only ever driven top notch cars

Im not taking sides cause i didnt vote for either, but Hamilton has had dream rides for his whole F1 career but doesnt get that stigma

What a brilliant poll, you basically can vote for all the drivers. Those of us who are not focussed solely on one driver each weekend get to say whether we pay attention to any of the others.

I am a fan of Kimi and I like Vettel. I might get more favourites or change my mind with time. I wasn't a fan of Kimi until sometime around 2004. I have had favourites like Mansell, Jacques and was a big Montoya fan.

I think it is nice to see Bruno doing good and I appreciate when Alonso pulls together these fantastic performances. I enjoy most drivers when they do something special no matter who it is. Probably. Won't if there is a championship for the taking in one of the final races and one of the drivers is a driver I like more than the other. Then I want him to win.

I want to see a little more from Hamilton. Sometimes it's been difficult to like him even if he has driven good but too much talk...well. I prefer Hulkenberg over Di Resta. I like Grosjean. I liked Schumacher until 95 and then it faded. Now I want him to get some good results again even though it is not that important. But it would be nice. A podium or a racewin. He deserves it. I have started to dislike Button. It is the trend right now. The balance and the talking and a big questionmark about his driving. And Nico Rosberg. He is really getting boring but I might change. Keke was so good but Nico is just there and it is boring.

Alonso- For being the best driver currently
Raikkonen- For how he acts, the sport needs more personalities like him

Something looks incredibly wrong with how this poll is constructed. First I only checked Alonso and I got an error message. Then I realized that for whatever weird reason I need to check "none of these four" at the bottom. OK, but something seems to go wrong there for many posters, because no way Alonso, Hamilton and Raikkonen reach ca. 11%-12%, but De La Rosa has 10% and Glock 9%, but Kobayashi 8%. Does not pass the smell test

Don't look at percentages (they're just the % of the votes in that specific box), just look at the numbers!

2. Kimi, the coolest personality and probably second strongest in terms of racecraft.

Not quite a good question. No one will ever watch cars going in circles unless there is a driver in it. Obsession might be oversimplification of the situation we are in, drivers are the the only reason why F1 is watched. Sorry, quite a pedantic question that was.

My choices:
Schumacher
Alonso
Vettel
Button
Perez
Hülkenberg
