"Gus" was a top racer in the under 2 litre T/A class, then later when it morphed into the 2.5 Challenge, with his Alfa GTA.

Don't forget his series of SCCA championships in class EM with a 2.0 Ferrari TR. Four in all, as I recall. Was the DM champion in 1960 in the Maserati T-61. Won the Pensacola SCCA National overall at the start of the season.
Gus also won the 1958 Road America 500 overall in the North American Racing Team Ferrari 335-S. Co-driver was Lance Reventlow.
