and why it's listed as Citroen DS3 S2000 on live timing, while it should be listed as Citroën DS3 RRC ?
(Or i got it all completly wrong !? :0)

Colin Clark @voiceofrally 1hWhat's the difference between RRC and S2000 car?..

Info from anonymous WRC driver! "torque = drivability ... when conditions difficult turbo car is way better. SS1&2 wet... SS3 dry"

What's the difference between RRC and S2000 car?..
S2000 cars have more power, higher top speed etc. RRC on the other hand have more torque (less power) and are better on the twisty bits. All things considered they have different characteristics, but at the end of the day the difference is marginal.

The Citroen wasn't driven much compared to the Skoda, wasn't it.Especially when we talk about factory cars like Kopecky's Skoda and Robert's Citroen. Both great rally cars!

OK, what we can learn from his interview is that his time and great pace is nothing but pure luck of the beginner, lol.

The n/a s2000s have light switch power delivery - it's not really possible to feed the throttle. This makes them very snappy & causes them to break traction often in the wetSo Robert gambling with the tires..
Interesting, I'd think that it's difficult to use all the torque on a slippery road (though having a better torque/power curve would help).
The Citroen wasn't driven much compared to the Skoda, wasn't it.
The turbo cars have a more progressive power delivery, especially in the initial acceleration phase helping them get the initial bite when the accelerator is pressed.
The ds3 may not have done many events in the rrc guise but the car it's based on has won the last 2 world rally championships so it as least as good as any other car eligible for the erc.
That said, rob is flying and leading the event because of talent, not his machinery

Anyway his speed is suprising. I know its partially down to conditions but that for me even more impressive that despite poor experience he menages to do well in tricky conditions.
Aspecially since hes claiming that hes taking it easy
Also kudos for Jan Kopecky who actually gave to Robert his onoard videos to help him prepare to the rally.

And I guess the Italian drivers whom Robert competed against weren't as bad as some said they were.
Nice Kopecky. Though not very surprising, Robert and Jan are friends and Robert's RBR online rallying nick was actually "Kopecky FAN"
I know, that's why I wrote about torque curve (not torque value) I guess that's what they've meant. The n/a s2000s have light switch power delivery - it's not really possible to feed the throttle. This makes them very snappy & causes them to break traction often in the wet

Robert's looking supremely good at the moment. Let's hope he can keep it together for the victory.
Edit: Radio guy just screamed "It's Kubica!!!". I almost had a heart attack. He was 1.1 faster than Kopecky.
