I don't remember a team not being able to give equal cars to team-mates at such an early point in the season before?
I mean I understand later in the season when development is trickier and squashed into the short gaps between races but I'm surprised Lotus are in that situation at the start
And.... the witch-hunt begins!!
Kimi got the updates BECAUSE he is can MAXIMIZE them with his setup. Honestly, one will be joking if they think Grosjean is/was capable of dominating/beating Alonso & Vettel in Melbourne. Add to that, Lotus' needs to maximize their status with performances due to being handicapped on financial situations. It's pretty stupid if they produce/rush parts for both drivers and lose out bothering about updates for Grosjean first.
Grosjean has himself gotten stuck here thanks to his poor performances in 2012, and lost the right to be considered otherwise over Kimi Raikkonen. When Grosjean was doing well... he got updates first at a particular period last year over Kimi. So he needs to catch up first... which is important if team needs to achieve it's targets.
