Sebastian took a petulant sucker punch on a team mate who'd been ordered to tune the engine down and coast to the end of the race. In what reality is a bitch move like that right?

Webber was in car saving mode. Vettel will hopefully get what he deserves.

Well seeing as Webber had his hands tied behind his back by already turning the engine down and preparing for the finish, what could he do? Vettel was also a bit rough in turn 1 trying to put Webber in grass...

If he wins the WDC this will certainly tarnish it.

Pathetic move by Webber on the front straight, as bad as Schumi on RB and his trademark.

Brilliant finish from Seb in that battle. So sweet.

Vettel pulled off a "Webber-Silverstone 2011", but unlike him successfully. That´s probably the main reason, why Mark went into hyprocisy-mode.

Vettel thinks being ruthless like Schumi is ok, but all it does it make even more people hate his guts even more.

Webber said "Multi 21" or something of the sort which is an order = Driver nr. 2 leads driver nr. 1
"12" is an order which says Driver nr. 1 leads driver nr. 2 (source: Niki Lauda on RTL)

Vettel just said it himself in the official press conference (not the one on the podium) that he got the order to stay at position 2 and apologized to the team and to Webber!
That's why Webber was so pissed and that's why Newey and Horner were going nuts on the pitwall!

Drivers are employees of the team. Vettel is not being respectful to them, which is strange considering they have given him 3 WDCs.

Absolutely.
I don't know how anyone can still respect him after such a move.

Today was a classic example of Vettel being far from a top driver. Unbelievable that this guy has three world titles. Possibly one of the drivers who is least worthy of having a world title.

tbh I don't care if it was right or wrong, that's the racing I want to see and let his team cry all they want. He may be a real whiner at times but all I care about is that he is a great fighter, spoilt or not.

Vettel thinks he can get away with **** like this, little does he realise that Webber doesn't forget, it's probably his last season in a competitive car, and hes got 17 races to return the favour.

Can't wait for that day!

That makes it even worse, I would prefer him to be ruthless or a team player. Instead he gets the points then goes into damage limitation mode with Webber and the team with some crocodile tears.

Vettel took care of business. He did not become 3 time world champ by being a mug. Alonso would have done the same thing.

I think that in normal situation Webber would have pit first to get those hards and Vettel after that to get those mediums and the gap between Webber and Vettel would have been much bigger, but in this case Red Bull wanted to have as big a gap as possible between Red Bulls and Mercedes so therefore Vettel pit first. Vettel got abnormal advantage and I think that is why Red Bull gave that team order, sort of to even things up / not to have Webber lose because of that.

Firstly, this is why I don't like team orders, and a good case for radio being banned except for emergency maybe? But to be fair it seems like webber has held station many a time and had turned his car down so vettel should not have done it. Actually pretty low, although I enjoyed every second of it even though webber came out second best.

Love that these two are at each other again!

If Horner and Newey are not celebrating a vettel victory on the pitwall you can be sure there is a very good reason for it.

When Webber is told to hold position and goes against orders he gets applauded, when Vettel does it, races him wheel to wheel for P1 and beats him, then Vettel's the prick.

Makes sense guys.

Pretty easy to look like a great fighter when your opponent has been ordered to fight with one hand tied....

He mugged Webber and that's just wrong; the team told BOTH drivers to hold position, and one of them ignored it, and that's pretty cheap. It just shows what kind of person that Vettel is, and that's not a nice picture. Winners are winners, but not at any, or all costs.

Pretty cheap.

This was a mix between the "Alonso is faster than you", the Alo pit strategy from last week and the 2010 Red Bull crash all together at once.

+1
This is the guy who squeezed his teammate into turn 1 in the championship deciding race last year, while allowing his team's rival to pass him unscathed on the outside.

What goes around comes around.

But nothing will come out of this from RBR side. They will protect Sebastian as usual and Hamilton and Alonso's fans will hate him more when he secured his 4th straight WDC titles.

Do you seriously think Webber did not turn the engine back up again while being attacked ? The pass only happened 2 laps after Webber being released from the pits, so there was enough time to prepare for defending the lead. Normally, when the leader actually has the pace in a similar situation, if he can stay in front for the first lap and the tyres get up to temperature, he can successfully defend. But this time Webber was simply not fast enough, and Vettel had a tyre advantage.

 You don't win championships by being Mr Nice guy.

I mean come on how boring would of todays race of been if Vettel had held station just like Mercedes. It would of been boring. Ferrari and Lotus should be kicking themselves for allowing them to get in the position to play games the way they did.

I bet Webber is super pissed.

How many times has he been asked to "hold station" towards the end of the race when he was faster than Vettel. I lost count really.

Cheap shot by Vettel. But hey, Vettel should expect the same kind of "courtesy" from Webber from now on.

Vettel was absolutely in the wrong. If you're told to hold position, you hold position. Webber just asked on Sky Sports if he accepts Vettel's apology.....he tries to avoid answering that question....suggests he doesn't accept it in my opinion.
