Just wondered if there had been any further information regarding Lotus 38/1 now being unavailable for the Lotus Festival at Snetterton on 20th June. An appearance at Goodwood perhaps? I do hope that there will be ana opportunity to see the car here in the UK before it goes back to the Henry Ford Museum.

Enco was a marketing name for Humble Oil (later part of Exxon). In some States they could not use the Esso name. They both used the Tiger in the Tank!As a matter of interest why was Esso known as Enco in the US. The stickers on the car are the same script etc and the Tiger ofcourse.
I though Esso was a world wide name then?

It will be at Goodwood, with Jackie Stewart driving it, but it won't be at Snetterton sadly. When I saw my friend Walter Goodwin (who recently rebuilt the engine in the Clark winning 38) on Pole Day morning in Indianapolis, he'd just returned from the UK and as of that time, he believed the car was supposed to be at Goodwood.
