I'll go to Italian Grand Prix this year and on Monday after the race I want to visit Maranello. How to get there better from Milan without rent a car?

It was an expensive taxi ride as I recall from Bologna but maybe there's a good train to Modena and a slightly less expensive taxi fare - enjoy the shops & museum !

Here are some trains from Milano to Modena on September 15.

Milano Centrale at 7:20
Modena is there at 9:01
No. of train IC 589

Milano Centrale 8:40
Modena 10:19
IC 581

Milano Centrale 9:20
Modena 11:01
IC 565 /566/567

Milano Centrale 11:10
Modena 12:38
R 153

From Modena to Maranello it is 16 km, so the best choice is Taxi

I have always found the trains in Italy to be perfectly punctual and cheap. As suggested, I would take the train to Modena. I have then taken a bus to Maranello, but a Taxi might be a better idea as the bus station in Modena is not very close to the train station.
I'll be in Maranello on Monbday the 15th as well. My friend is giving me a lift in his hire car. I'm afraid we have no extra room so we can't offer you a lift. If you want to meet up in Maranello or at the race then let me know.;)

you can walk from train statio to bus depot - about 30 mins. buses to / through maranello about on the hour from depot. would expect taxi to be very expensive. takes about an hour on bus. ?E60 by taxi

trains from bologna to modena about every hour. I found even italian trains ran on time though they did stop in the middle of nowhere for 3 hours with me out of italian and them out of english - long story.
