On the positive side, at least he has moved on from his cowboy boots and tucked-in polo shirt...

I find it comforting to know that the best driver in F1 in the past decade, with a staggering record of success, in who's hands every fortnight rests millions of pounds worth of responsibility, hopes, dreams and aspirations . . . . should never be allowed to go into a clothes shop alone.

You dont need all that money for that. Reminds me of the Office Space though and the rather hilarious scene with Peter and his neighbour (Lawrence?) talking about having a million dollars.

I'm not a Schumi fan at all, but I believe that all of us have a right to dress as he/she likes. If Michael likes this hat or shirt, let him wear them to his pleasure. This is not our bussiness.

Brilliant a driver as he is, MS has been a fashion train-wreck since day one. These examples are actually pretty normal compared to some others I can remember, including chaps and a whimsically Seinfeld-esque "puffy shirt".

As for what he's thinking, I suspect it's something along the lines of "make room please, world champion coming through..."

I believe he was wearing an Inspector Gadget hat! Anyway, he's never been known to be a fashion guy but it's nice that he doesn't give a crap what we think. Like water off a duck's back. What does surprise me is that Corinna does have style and you'd think he'd run it by her and if she winced he'd get the point.Oh well....

That indeed is a fedora, which worn with properly maintained slacks and a decently colored shirt, would look real good.

Same for the red sweater/shirt, with some properly maintained jeans, and perhaps a baseball cap would look great.

The jeans with a washed t-shirt, or those new wrinkled shirts would be quite stylish.

However the combination of all three elements make his look very eclectic.

As for the pink shirt / white pants / white shoes, let's just say that's too fab-five for my taste. Again, any of those components proplerly used would look fine.

A hat. It is used to keep the sun/rain of your eyes and neck.
These people that wear hats with peaks, do they only face towards the sun or the rain? If it is not raining or not sunny, why do they wear one?
Schumacher does lots of daft things, but his clothes are functional, unlike the usless peaked caps which give you sun burn on the back of your neck, unless you wear them backwards in which case you get sun in your eyes.

I'm a Villeneuve fan and somewhat of a fashion whore myself. I think Micheal fashion statement is cool, its got individualism in them. Its much better than Jacques baggy jeans and baggy overalls, or Jarno's freggin hair.
