BAC Canberra B(I)Mk.8 Cutaway, or medium bomber Mk.8 the most successful British post-war, used in many air forces around the world, seeing action in several wars of the post war, this particular model had the bubble-like cabin, which differed from the more classic model , was equipped with a container of 4 20 mm Hispano Suiza cannons or freefall bombs in the hold of weapons, easy handling docile airplane with a flight altitude of 60,000 feet and striking the flight level was more maneuverable than many fighters had a powerful auto-transfer, in order that historical bomber ppresto services well into the nineties and some are still in flying condition in historical squads or private collections, author Mike Badrocke taken from the magazine Air International and uploaded to ImageShack.us

This is a cutaway view of the A.E.C. (Associated Equipment Company) Type 691 6-cylinder truck diesel engine of 1964. It was 11.3 liters and gave around 165 BHP at 2000 rev/min; not much by modern standards, but this was naturally aspirated and was considered quite a good engine in the UK in its era. Image quality is not great since this came from a quite small graphic. As can be seen, it originates from Motor Transport; illustrator unknown. The text below the oil pan is too small to read, but looks like "Wilson".

OK, again it has been a while since I have posted much, so we are back to a couple of aircraft for everyone again. First is the classic World War II British bomber, the Avro Lancaster Mark I that was reprinted in Aeroplane Magazine, December, 2011. This is the work of James H. Clark.

We have another James H. Clark piece, originally from Flight Magazine, and just published in an Aeroplane Icons series special edition .. this is the Bristol Blenheim Mk. I, which went into World War II as the fastest British bomber of the time.

The last piece is another James H. Clark piece, again from that Blenheim Special, this one being the Bristol Blenheim Mk. IV. This is the version that was being produced into late 1941, to be replaced in production by the Mk. V that ran into mid-1943.
The Blenheim was the fastest aircraft in the RAF until the introduction of the Spitfire and the Hurricane, as well as being the first British all-metal monoplane, as well as being the first RAF aircraft to be section produced by various sub-contractors, very much the standard technique today. Too bad that it was tactically misused and took a very heavy toll of the flight crews in the early parts of the war.

I guess Ford could not be bothered with a cutaway DRAWING. They simply cut an actual Ford GT in half. It's just unfortunate that I didn't photograph the other side.

Great stuff, CVA.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned on these pages before, but both MPC and Airfix produced a ‘transparent’ 1967 Ford J-Type GT kit. With some rather nice box-art to boot.

Here http://airfixtribute...g/about784.html

And a slightly different version/variation of the box-art here http://koolestkruzer.../t521-mpc-story Scroll down a bit for the MPC version of the Ford J-type.

The FMA IA-58C Pucara cutaway, cut schematic of COIN Argentine fighter-bomber, which is building a model study Monoplace or "C" popularly called "Charlie", it was built and tested but without success because they do not get to the production line, among its new features would be equipped for ground attack with bombs and unguided rockets in addition to study the possibility of installing at the ends of the wings misisles Matra 550 "for self-defense, Magic" author of drawing Aviagraphica and modified by Motocar to recreate the model Pucara "Charlie" single seat.

 I'm going to keep my eye open for more of his work and/or more information about the artist. (I get the impression that some artists just end up doing the one cutaway and then perhaps move on to something else).

I had a 75% success rate with friends and family. My finest hour was convincing my Dad that the local Hovercraft had overshot its landing bay, had crossed the road (no one harmed) and was currently parked on the common.

I agree with Mr. Matthews ... the loss of trust is a terrible thing to observe.
I would suggest that you are sentenced to one year less a day ... although that leaves us vulnerable to this sham again next year. Maybe we should reconsider the duration.
Or just let you go with a warning ... and a big chuckle.

All in the name of duty, Tom.

It actually looks like it would get up that hill quite quick, if it could only lose the rear end of that motorcycle sticking out the front. :)
