And I forgot the reason of this academic meeting, testing the Porsche's chassis !

May Doug Nye remember and tell us the story ? As he was there, hidden behind dear Jenks.

I know my opinion or speculation have not been asked for, but... quite a logical explanation could be, that during that time the sportscar really "jumped" or even "flew" on some of the tracks and in certain parts of the tracks (for example, Nurburgring). Maybe they tested how easily the car would flip over or what kind of suspension should be used...?
