In 1981, Rondeau used the services of the Leitz company that loaned digital measuring instruments.

Seen here are those fitted in the red "L'Automobile" M379 during tests.

No, not the Rondeaus I had nothing to do with it.
These are strictly original documents in my possession. Plenty more coming.

I love the characteristics of the Rondeaus because of its short and stubby front.

Also I love the story behind Jean Rondeau being based in Le Mans to achieve his dream.

More pictures:

Presentation of the M482 to the media at le Mans that I took in Mai 1982. The following tests revealed problems with the ground effects chassis when hitting small bumps. This will prove hard to resolve, and in fact never was satisfactorily.

Was there never a plan by Rondeau to enter Formula One?

According to an e-mail exchange I had, John Starkey's next book will be on Rondeau.

This seems as good a place as any to highlight that M482-001 will be auctioned by RM Auctions at Retromobile next week.

The price guidance is €200.000 - €250.000 :
