Post #149 the red number 27 is the Bugatti.
No mistaking that this is a Bugatti! No signs of Rainford in the background unless that is him on the climbing frame?

In the shot of the Cooper Bristol following a white ERA with yellow wheels. Is that R9B with perhaps borrowed wheels from Remus or Hanuman?

My fault entirely for not labelling the pictures
The pictures were taken on the Sunday 8th June 1986 at of course the Richard Seaman Memorial Meeting
Matt you are spot on with the driver of the Bugatti.
While here are a trio of I hope perfectly correct driver and car combinations.....
The mighty 8 litre Bentley of Tim Llewellyn illustrates "toe in" as he powers out of Lodge
The Riley 12/4 Special of Mr G Toms
While Rodney Felton is hard on the brakes for Lodge in his Alfa Romeo P3

How on earth was that car allowed on the track? No firewall, battery cover or marker. you need those even for regularity. When finished it should be an interesting device though those horrid 3 stud wheel are an accident waiting to happen.Originally posted by Ray Bell
Now there's a car that's bound to strike problems with its front wheels!

Thanks Alan; it was part of a roll of 35mm film stock I blasted off and once printed the images languished in a drawer until the new scanner arrived!

Middle of the road at Le Mans.
Really! This is the N138 where it heads down to Tertre Rouge and then onwards towards Mulsanne, I'm lying on the road, the cars are coming from the right, exiting from the permanent part of the circuit. Two giant gates behind me stop unwanted traffic from joining in (and stop J. Public from getting a freebie view).

Thanks for that great view of the 250F's Alan.
It never ceases to amaze me how fat they look from this angle. You get no indication of this standing beside them.

Jeremy Agace brought his 250F for the first time - and it didn't look as though his crew had practiced offloading it before!
Nigel Corner's ex-Fangio Monaco GP-winner (they appear to be using a starter motor as a wheel-chock)

The hot seat of Nick Wigley's Cooper T51.
Crib sheet for a queer box?
Sam Stretton's Alta Sports - one of the fruits of VSCC's new policy to encourage standard and mildly modified sports cars onto the programme.
A splendid display of 3 litre Sunbeams.

BRM P261 - from the days when Grand Prix cars could be called pretty.
