You've said that in another thread too. Are you an anti-FOTA FIA agent or Max himself? You can't imagine there were many FOTA fans in the paddock?

It's not Photoshop!

If it's not a photshop, hunnylander, why is the lighting on the woman's face different to the lighting on everyone else? And why is the photographer resting on her shoulder completely oblivious to her presence?

Have you ever been in a press scrum? No, I think not.

Plus the links hunnylander posted are two completely different photographs. Plus she's standing a lot closer to the camera than anyone else, so the flash will hit her differently. It's also possible that more than one flash is lighting her face, seeing as she's standing in the middle of a press scrum!

Actually, I have. I was doing work experience with a newspaper last year and we were at an event the state premier was attending. There was a scrum on the way out, and I was the only person there who wasn't a journalist or photographer or camerma-person. Given the pushing, shoving and close-quarters contact, I'd be very surprised if someone could get there and hold position long enough to have a photo taken like that. Someoe would have pused past for sure. Especially if they clearly aren't a journalist and have no purpose being there. I find your argument about the flashes rather funny given that the photo was taken outside and the lighting conditions are good enough that a flash isn't required. I'm by no means a professional photographer, but I do know several from my work experience time, and I know they wouldn't use a flash in those conditions becaise I sent the picture to one of them asking him if he thought it was legit. He says he's pretty sure it's photoshopped.

I'm the one denying reality?

Sorry, but I'm not the one who has accepted the picture as being genuine on the basis that I think it would be cool to stick it to the man.

That, in essence, is the problem with the internet on the entire debacle: people have jumped to the conclusions they want simply because there's a possibility it might happen. The number of arguments I've seen - and I'm not just talking about here - that have totally ignored important information simply because it doesn't fit in with the FOTA-is-always-universally-good-and-Max-is-the-unholy-offspring-of-Mephistopholese-and-Britney-Spears argument is insane.

I'm sorry, but I didn't realise that my unconditional hatred for Max Mosley and the FIA was a condition of my signing up!

Change the record! Of course, you sent the photographs to Superman's secret photo-testing lab and they viewed the image through kryptonite and told you that it's Photoshopped for sure. We're ALL wrong and you're right, as always!

It only takes a split second to take a photograph, and there are two of them, with the woman in different poses. If you were watching the TV coverage, quite a few flashes were going off because it was so overcast at Silverstone. That's why the pictures look well lit.

Despite your not having an unconditional hatred for Max Mosely and the FIA, it sadly doesn't appear to keep you from posting here. I'm sick of being talked down to by you, like you and your opinions are somehow better than the rest of us.

Edit: XPB are a paparazzi type organisation, with photographers e-mailing their images in direct from the event for speedy inclusion on websites and in other publications. Did Parker sit down for a cup of tea and a scone and think 'I know, I'll fiddle with Photoshop for a bit'? No, he did not!

Zzzzzzzz. Let me put it this way: your opinion of me is inconsequential. I really don't care what you think, so the more important question is why is my opinion of you suddenly so imperative?

You want to know why I think my opinions are better than yours? It's because I actually have one. You said it yourself: "Despite your not having an unconditional hatred for Max Mosely and the FIA, it sadly doesn't appear to keep you from posting here." While I think Mosley is in the wrong, I also think he happens to talk sense on occasion, like the need to cut costs. It's the execution leadership where he utterly fails. But as soon as I provide reasons why I think my thoughts on the subject are valid, I get shot down by people who think I work for the FIA or am Max Mosley himself simply because I do not agree with them. Thus, no-one actually reads anything I put more than a moderate amount of thought into. You've all fallen into the trap that is groupthink, an unspoken and almost unconditional tendency of groups to simply agree on one matter without feeling the need to ever challenge or discuss it. They simply go with whatever is easiest or popular and not necessarily what is the best. And ironically enough, this phenomena is arguably one of the earliest seeds that became the mess that is the FIA and FOTA at the moment. The teams simply went with the FIA, the circuits simply went with FOM, and now that seed has grown into an ugly and stubborn little weed, the kind that you just can't seem to kill no matter wat you throw at it.

So if I think my opinions are better than yours, more power to me. Because of the two of us, I seem to be the only one who is thinking.

And if the Modhammer comes swinging my way, it's only going to be proof that everything I said in this post was true.

PS: I'm guessing Parker is the person who posted the original photo? I never said that he photoshoped it, only that somebody did. I'd thank you for stop putting words in my mouth.

No, Parker is the person who is credited as having taken the photo on the XPB site.

Patronise much? Check facts first.

Oh, by the way, I cut the rest of your post from my quote as the caption thread isn't actually the right place for that. I'd have thought you'd have twigged that if people won't listen to your opinions in the relevant threads, they're hardly going to in here.
