ACtually he DID miss a stationary care, as he purposely turned into Raikonnen to take him out instead of Kubica.

never met a mind-reader before... rolleyes.gif

looked to me like he was trying to stop the car however.
Do you really think he had time during his panic to pick on Raikonnen? smile.gif

Hamilton did two mistakes:

Crash into Raikkonens back - Can be considered racing accident, no penalty.
Ignore a red light - He should get a penalty for that. He clearly ignored a F1 rule.

Anyway FIA will leave Hamilton without punishment as usual.

I vaguely remember a three race suspended ban being handed out to someone a few years back for ignoring the red light... Can't remember who it was though...

This evening's TOP STORY at autosport.com front page:

Hamilton gripped by mid-season pressure

Lewis Hamilton says he is possessed by his demons again and is currently loathing his racing, after confessing that he had put too much pressure on himself by doing blunt statements after scoring pole in Canada.

Lots and lots of hate for Hamilton - some of it obscene language.

And not a word about Rosberg - who made EXACTLY the same mistake at EXACTLY the same place.

Why is Rosberg not being called a shit, a fucking moron, a retard, a fucking wanker?

KIMI IS TO BLAME............I SAW HIM REVERSE INTO LEWIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Apocalypse
It's almost certain that Hammy won't get punished. He's the Golden Boy (or the "Chosen One") after all. wink.gif

No, he would have stopped at the red light. Just that someone was parked in front of him.

Interesting that he chose to crash into Kimi and not RK isn't it?

Did you watch the in-car?

You may never have had an alignment on your car, but F1 cars do not violently pull to the left when the brakes are applied.

Guys try and keep it clean please (stay away from name calling and personal attacks).

Lewis down.gif

And this is different to the Kimi incident last race. This is under pitstop conditions with the ignoring of a red light as opposed to losing the car in the wet. Neither was deliberate, but one directly breaks an FIA rule.

In fairness I dont think he meant to target Kimi, he tried to swerve away from both cars and ran out of room.

Lets cool down and hope for an enjoyable remainder of race - and possibly a new race winner.

He didn't take out his main rival. Hammy could have just as easily turned right instead of left. He chose to hit Raikonnen.

DC is absolutely livid with Lewis for stealing his "Pitlane Clown" crown.

There's way too much obscene language on here.

did you see the only space beside Raikonnen that he was probably aiming for?
TickTickBooom
What do you mean 'Lewis was TRYING to stop'?? In case you've missed all the bollocks about it, McLaren are halfway down the pitlane. You're telling me Lewis didn't have time to notice the red light and the two stationary cars??

Please!

I also think he deliberately hit Kimi, but then I'm cross and angry and pissed off. I'll watch it again later.

Let the conspiracy begin!!! tongue.gif

On a serious note, he clearly wasn't paying attention. But let's not overreact, shit happens, a racing incident. frown.gif

I can't believe people are suggesting he intentionally hit Raikonnen. If he had stopped, and complete the race, he would almost certainly have had a points gain over Raikonnen and furthered his championship lead.

If people really think that in the time that accident occurred, he had time to identify the two vehicles, decide that the impending crash would be terminal for both vehicles, elect to go for Raikonnen and then intentionally aim towards him...they're granting Hamilton a more rapid and sharp mind than anyone else on earth.

An utter moment of stupidity, of that there is no doubt, by both Hamilton and Rosberg. But the language in this thread, the hatred, and the accusations of malice are all way off the mark.

Some idiots showing their true colours. Totally ignoring the fact that Rosberg made exactly the same mistake.

No excuses. Both screwed up. But it would be interesting to know if they could see the red light with two cars side by side in front of them. I suppose that's not a question that the foul mouthed scum on this thread would think to ask.
Schneckentempo
Bonehead move by the Golden Boy. I don't think he deliberately crashed into Kimi, though. If he's not quick enough to pick up on a red light and two cars coming to a stop in front of him, I don't think he'd be quick enough to deliberately aim for Kimi either.

I asked it, and I could see two BIG blinking red lights from Hamilton's in car.

Hamilton had lost position to both Kubica and Raikkonen in the pit stop. Raikkonen was lapping faster than anybody before the SC, he looked on course for a win.

Dont they have some light system for red light on their steering wheel?

Fair point, LOL. Maybe he has that disorder, where you freak out whenever you see blinking red lights.

To be fair, I would assume a lot of the "piling on" on Hamilton is due to the incredible amount of arrogance that was shown yesterday. Shit flows both ways.

Well, we know that, see above.

But he didn't deliberately drive into Kimi, he was trying to get into that little gap in the left, it seemed. Like Rosberg.
TickTickBooom
So Lewis confesses to ITV that he DID see the red light, but by the time he saw it it was too late. What?! Either you see it or you don't, and either you see two stopped cars in front of you or you don't.

I have to admit, I'd be laughing my arse off if Lewis had gone into the back of anyone but Kimi. Now I'm just pissed off with him.

Stands to reason, doesn't it? If he's told the lights are on red he's not going to rush to them.

And imagine if he had stopped in time. Nico would have pushed him into Kimi. Then what would this board have said? I'm guessing there would be less vitriol, for a start.

And if he had his eyes open,he would have seen that not only the lights were red but there was also two stationary cars waiting for lights to go green.

Nico was behind LH and propably he paid only attention what LH did -when a driver just infront of you accerelates like a mad-man, you tend to think there is green lights and room ahead to accelerateyour car too,you hardly can put same blame on Nico that you can put on LH for this accident.

Agreed, but there's a frightening number of people here who see a massive conspiracy in everything. I'm a big Ferrari fan but I'm not dumb enough to believe that Lewis aimed for Kimi. It's quite obvious that he was trying for the space on Kimi's left-hand side. Anyway, it's irrelevent: even if he'd managed to miss Kimi, Rosberg would probably have hit him instead.

I'm not sure the Hammy fanboy camp has settled on whether it was Kimi or Nico's fault yet. Whatever, we know with certainty that it wasn't Hamilton.

Sarcasm is wasted on the subnormal.

Hammy said "I apologize to Kimi if I have ruined his race."

Does Hammy think part of Kimi's race strategy was to be knocked-out of the race by Hammy!?

If it isn't a silly question, why was the light on red and why aren't FOM showing any replays of the incident despite it involving the top two drivers in contention for the WDC...?

Kimi, 3 race ban for not giving Hamilton enough room to stop?

No, sadly he didn't, but he did just say 'Hamilton and Raikkonen hit EACH OTHER in the pit lane'.

No, James (and any other fanboys reading), Lewis hit Kimi. Plain and simple.
djellison
What was the sanction for Raikonnen two weeks ago?
ajcrean
Coming back from the ad break, notice how James Allen says that "Hamilton and Raikkonen hit each other in the pitlane"...? That's a little misleading, methinks... lol.gif

Just another opportunity for those who hate him to bitch.

Is Canada directed by FOM? I didn't think so, but I could be wrong. :\

We had at least three replays on ITV. Don't need to see it much more than that.
