Well......
Seems no matter what I post these days I will be called a trolling fanboy.
But.........
I firmly believe that there are car-breakers and car-savers. This can not be established over one or a few seasons, and will always be very subjective, but some drivers simply driver their cars harder, and there fore get more technical issues.
I baptized Kimi a car-breaker several seasons ago, and argued that Michael Schumacher had so few technical issues by virtue of being kinder to his car. Kind does NOT equal slow, it simply mean driving it smarter. I do not think that a driver can fundamentally change how they drive a car, they can change aspects of it, but some will simply have more issues than others.
Hamilton have a short career so far, he have however only had 6 races where he did not finish in the points. So he seem to take good care of his car, ramming Kubica and Kimi at Canada is not a technical issue, as is putting the car in the gravel in the Chinese pit's last year.
Kovalainen in the same car, have been outside the points 7 times already this season. I would have to look in detail on what the various issues were, but I am certain that he will be found to have had more technical issues than Hamilton.
Both Hamilton and Kovalainen are poor examples, as they only have 2 seasons behind them, but they are both starting to build a legacy and for Hamilton it looks fast and reliable.
My arguments are always pooh-poohed, but having been around racing since the late 1970ies, and seen every season in all classes how some drivers 'never' broke down, I do not care for the pooh-poohing it is my belief and no insult of my mental capacity will change it.
I expect no technical issues for Hamilton at Brazil.
