I went last year nand going again this year.
Dont worry about GA tickets I had them last time. You can get good view on grass embankment. Silver 2 this time.
You can get a decent view and a seat on the grass between silver 4 and 6 grandstands.
If you get there early you'll get ticket on day. It will be close to a sell out. It was very busy with Kubica fans last year. It's Poland's adopted GP.
Happy to meet up for a beer!

Tommy

you can easily buy GA tickets on the spot -there're lots of them.
And GA tickets actually have rather good view - esp. Turns 10, 11,12.
I can't recommend a definite hotel, but for 15 euro you can get a bed in a hostel, and for 25 - a bed in a private double room.
Be sure to leave time to walk around Budapest - it's a great city which deserves a whole day or two, with museums, churches etc.
Also you can go for a day to Vienna - it takes 3 hours by bus, check it on Internet, there're private buses that take you there.

And it's a good choice of GP - I was there and enjoyed it immensely.

i wrote this last year , ga is ok but u need to be at the gates around 5.30 am raceday , i sat up on the last corner could see the whole straight was awesome , we did an alnighter because 5 min walk theres bars and clubs open all night , and for the guys loads of strippers , sorry but u didnt pay anything and it was all outside , theres a go kart track , then on saturday we paid 25 euros and took 3 lates around the track via helicopter it was worth it .

u can find them at the helipad .

as for budapest very nice city we drove to the track sat all night awake and slept from 6am to 11am , and saw everything , we stayed for another 2 hours afterwards because of traffic , you can take own drinks in and food . so u save cash there .

watch out on the saturday moneing sun monring and after race traffic , we went through all the back streets and not the highway ur slower on tempo but quicker in time if it makes sense . my tip to all is after the qualifing is to walk the track and find ur owbn good spot .... also if u get to the last chicane u can enter the track and get up close on the finishing cermony , u miss the last 5 laps and u need to run like hell but he did it so well we could feel the champanr , good luck and itll be a wicked weekend .

thanks thomas
