That's right, one thread to pour all your bile, hate and conspiracy theories about what Mclaren did/did not do to Alonso and how the undeserving Hamilton will never reach the heights of Alonso as a driver. Please feel free to contribute and lets concentrate all our arguments here to make this thread as coherent as possible.

Good to know smile.gif

Not that anything will stop the usual suspects from inventing everything possible to explain why Alonso got beaten last year.
By a rookie. In identical cars. Granted, without getting as many hugs and cheers from the team as Lewis.

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to a wonderful and emotional evening!

In one corner of the boxing ring we have the British side with:

-Alonso the prima donna
-Alonso, the 2WDC beaten by a rookie with the same car.
-Alonso backstabbing his own team in order to race for himself.
-Alonso blackmailing his boss and asking for unconditional N#1 status and preferential car.
-Alonso whinning and complaining all the time.
-Alonso, the man who brought 0.6 seconds to the team?

In the Spanish side we have:

-Hamilton, the bigmouth rookie.
-Hamilton the cheater
-Hamilton, the boy who copied Alonso's set-up
-McLaren saboutaging Alonso's car
-Ron Dennis, being unable to stop a crying rookie
-Ron Dennis and his preferences for his little son.

That's gonna be a beautiful fight!

Make your bets!

I'm convinced not all Spaniards are dullards. Let's not rope them all into the Marca reading mouth foaming nutjob category.

For me the highlight was when Lewis was officially announced as 2nd Maclaren driver. I remember the board going into near meltdown to the extent the registration of new members was suspended. eek.gif

If Alonso would of done what his superior (Ron) and his equal (Lewis) told him to do he would still be driving for McLaren.

Alonso just refused to take advice and direction from both Ron and Lewis.

All they were doing was trying to make Fernando a welcome part of the McLaren family.

Fernando was his own worst enemy by not accepting their generous offerings.

Yes. He was a stupid for not accepting to throw his trousers down when asked for. He is not in the league of Mosley.

This is my vision of events:

Alonso and Dennis shouting, fighting and being aggressive with Hamilton stood at the front telling everyone how terrible Alonso was behaving - then Kovalainen walking in through a door at the back to see what all the noise was about. A Renault arrives for Alonso and takes him away leaving Kovalainen standing in his place.

Updating:

In one corner of the boxing ring we have the British side with:

-Alonso the prima donna
-Alonso, the 2WDC beaten by a rookie with the same car.
-Alonso backstabbing his own team in order to race for himself.
-Alonso blackmailing his boss and asking for unconditional N#1 status and preferential car.
-Alonso whinning and complaining all the time.
-Alonso, the man who brought 0.6 seconds to the team? ha, ha, ha... at great ironic mode on (which will be soon added to the Spanish team)
-Alonso as the boy who throw-the-dolls-out-of-the-pram or whatever it's said by the British Press.
-Spaniards in Barcelona behaving like racists against Hamilton's family in a Carnival weekend (Six or seven drunk boys painting their faces in black, putting big false-hair in their heads ala Jacksons Five with the slogan "Hamilton's Family", which is, of course, the expression of a complete racist and barbarian behaviour)
-Alonso, the Archenemy of the new Ayrton Senna and brake-testing this super fantastic superlative driver in Bahrein.

In the Spanish side we have:

-Hamilton, the bigmouth rookie.
-Hamilton the cheater
-Hamilton, the boy who copied Alonso's set-up
-McLaren saboutaging Alonso's car
-Ron Dennis, being unable to stop a crying rookie
-Ron Dennis and his preferences for his little son.
-...And the beloved daddy!
http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=fdQP0Xurh3E
-Hamilton as the Crane Boy or the boy who was helped "just for this time and never more for the rest of the drivers, of course".
-Hamilton, the boy who pushed the wrong button in Brazil and lost a whole world championship at hand by himself. A rookie has to be a rookie.
-Hamilton, the stupid boy who, sooner o later, will have what he deserves, meaning: losing a championship year after year, because he doesn't got any idea about what is driving, he's confused, he didn't want to learn a single lesson from Alonso and wanted to get the whole thing by himself: That's called: "A poor loser"

Both sides are really funny.

More to come. Make your bets!

lets not forget of course that for poor Mr Alonso, has he stayed at McLaren he would now be forced into finishing 5th or 6th while Hamilton wins the races.

Ok, I'll add it too. Being Spanish and hearing the way he said that, he was right. It was not an statement, but a simple comment.

The correct interpretation of this is that: "If I were in McLaren today, I would be in the rule of Kovalainen. That's why I prefer to be in Renault fighting in the midlefield for a P6, that being in McLaren, knowing that having a wining car, I wouldn't be a allowed to win a WDC".

He was just stating that Hamilton has all preferences at McLaren and the status of a preferent driver. Alonso realised that in Indianapolis and had full confirmation in Hungary. That's the reason he thought to himself: "I have to get out of here as soon as possible".

But this thread is about to make jokes about the way, both British side and Spanish side are making F1 race so dramatic. Let's don't be serious here.

Let's just have some fun and some autocritizise.

Make your bets in British side or Spanish side.

Lets talk about when theyve both been in F1, not alonso who has multiple years experience.

2007
Hamilton 1 Alonso 0

British side:

-Hamilton has not a WDC because he wasn't born before. If he was born 37 years ago... then "Schumacher, Alonso, Raikkonen... who?"

Just kidding :-)

No you cant ignore a drivers entire career and just select the little parts you like. Hamilton has yet to show the level of driving over a season to compare to what Alonso has acheived so until he does his fans need to relax on the hype. Im waiting to see him replicate Alonsos perfect 2006 season or almost perfect 2005, and 2008 is already too messed up to do that. Maybe in 2009, although I get the feeling Hamiltons natural style will always be hit and miss. His ego is too large to drive conservatively when required, he needs to always show off and make 'statements'.

Sounds like

Alonso vs Michael Schumacher being Schumacher the prima donna of F1 and the boy throwing the dolls out of the pram or whatever it's said.

Then Hamilton in the rule of a new Alonso, being Alonso the impersonation of Schumacher, being Schumacher the impersonation of Ayrton Senna and being Hamilton the seal of the seven prophets...

Ironic Mode ON!
Ricardo F1
Baby. Toys. Pram. Out of. End of story.

And it still pisses me off, because Hamilton and Alonso was the best pairing in F1 since Senna and Prost. This year would have been awesome. mad.gif

You do realise that it is impossible for Hamilton to have matched Alonso's WDCs right?

A proper comparison would be to look at how does Lewis' rookie year compare with Fernando's rookie year? Or even better yet, how the fared against each other in the same car.

Yes let's compare Alonso's year in Minardi with Lewis' in the best car of the field rolleyes.gif

Ok then

Alonso 10 - 7 Lewis

Lewis: 109
Alonso: 109

The McLaren was not the best car in the field for the entire 2007.

Gates in his current and previous incarnations keeps harping on about Alonso's 2 WDCs when it is impossible for Lewis to have had a chance at 2 WDC, since he is in only his 2nd year.

I am fine with your analysis of qualifying and points.
Ricardo F1
Not to mention if he'd won it Mosley would have stripped it.

He's good at that.

Well it might have been worthwhile if Alonso had had a WDC as a barometer. Sadly Tarso Marques and Alex Yoong don't fall into that category.

Er your list is incomplete.

LH vs FA

4-4 in wins, 5-3 poles, 9-8 in quali-overall LH edges it! cool.gif
Gates
After points and wins the next most important statistic must be the number of times they beat each other in races. Alonso edges it. Qualifying is almost worthless because of fuel loads.
airwise
And that was in Hamilton's rookie year. Imagine the scores this year had Fred not run off to the safety of Flav's sweaty thong.

When Fred says's he would have been overshadowed like Heikki, I don't doubt it. But not for the reasons he's like Marca to tell everyone wink.gif

Considering all the races Hamilton has thrown away this year its lucky for him Alonso left, but then again Im sure uncle Ron would have sorted Alonso out again.
