i have heard the stories about monza spectators being extremly wild, almost dangerous to their surroundings. am wondering if that is still true now, well in the 21. century?

would like to hear opinions of anyone with recent knowledge or experince of life in monza general admission and camping sites during gp weekend.

have camped few times at rivazza, imola in the 90's, but legend says that monza is completely different. is it still now?

I was there last year and it was fine - although perhaps the more vocal element were a bit subdued because McLaren thrashed Ferrari. Don't let worries about the crowd put you off going to Monza it's a gorgeous venue.

Have never camped at Monza but it didn't seem rowdy when I was there in 2006.

It was clap.gif Schumi's won..... then cry.gif Schumi's retiring.

I've been there for the last two years and in my experience the crowd are fine, friendly and up for a bit of banter.

No experience of the campsites but from what I saw in the one opposite us on the first corner, everyone was
being respectful and having a good time smile.gif

I'm going to miss not going this year cry.gif

I was there last year with my girlfriend. Both of us were wearing McLaren shirts and McLaren caps cheering for Alonso and didn't have any problems. smile.gif
