Most likely Kimi, he's got most of the others this season

Only race laps count as records? If yes Kimi must be the most rational choice, then Massa and slighty behind him Hamilton.

Hard not to vote Kimi for the race lap record considering his *ahem* record so far this year. But fastest lap of all, in any session, I would vote Massa for a storming Q2 time.

I think it will be a McLaren track so if they do it right they can set the lap record easier then anyone else.

Massa or Hamilton depending on which team has the best working car on this unknown circuit.
For Ferrari I rate Massa as most likely to get a fastest lap because when his car is working well he's the fastest even though Raikkonnen is scores better on average.

Yeah I will go with Kimi for the fastest lap but the win? Well thats another matter isn't it?

Hamilton, both in quali and in the the race.
However I have a strong feeling that one of the top 3 in the WDC (Lewis, Kimi or Massa) will hit the wall in quali and start from the back/middle.

Hamilton. Likes street circuits, has the car, has the abilities. Ferrari drivers are quite often off the pace, as for BMW - I think they will improve, but not enough to make fastest laps, even if Kubica will be as hot here as he was in Monaco.
Oh, and I don't think we will see a 3 stopper, especially in the top teams, as risk of SC will be a lot higher than usual. Mid grid teams make that risk, but they won't be fast enough.

Guys, official lap record - is fastest lap in race only, not qualy or free practice.
So, there nothing to talking about who is fastest driver in racing.

Kimi, always has good race speed

Lewis Hamilton easily. He's the best thing on the grid (pit-lane?) except when he is not having a brain fade moment.

Wouldn't it be more fun to guess/calculate the time of the lap record itself? Or driver AND laptime? I would not have a clue, so I won't chip in.
If Ferraris are quicker then it will be Massa during Q2 and most likely during the race.
If McLarens are quicker, then Hamilton.
Kimi always has great pace once the tyres are warm, but Massa has the advantage braking into slow corners like Bahrain and last sector in Turkey.
Kimi, probably. But I'd rather see him win the actual race, for a change.. :\

But he's hinted at sacificing some race pace, to ensure he's up front and controlling the race
There's no point in this day and age of having a good race car if you can't move up quicker enough with it during the race, but this Valen track might be better for overtaking then hungary.
I like to see Kimi on the front row again anyway, it's been a while.

Kimi is the fastest driver on the grid when it comes to race-pace and so far this bet seems to be right.

that was really unexpected from Vettel.. that kid is really fast
he tipped Massa, who I predicted would grab the fastest lap, by only .017...

Please note that I'm talking about the overall lap record, not what the FIA recognises as a lap record. Basically; who goes around the circuit the fastest whether it be in the race or quali.
Vettel currently holds the record.
