Not being biased, but it would have to rank as one of the best GP tracks, seems to produce close racing.Only problem is sometimes the weather can be a bit ordinary.

No I don't think your being biased, the track has not been messed around with like most/all of the great European ones, Assen especially!! mad.gif Hockenheim!! mad.gif Silverstone (though flat and featureless the old place provided some great races!!) Imola!! mad.gif any others anyone care to mention? :\

Agree a lot of the "old" circuits have changed a lot over the years.Phillip Island is basically the same as when it first opened.
Funnily enough out of the circuits you have mentioned i would put down as my favourite circuits too race at would be Assen, Silverstone,Imola and Phillip Island, probably didn't like Hockenheim because you neede a fast bike.

Got some great races (WSB/GP) from Hockenheim on Tape/DVD all or nearly all of them were 'trains' of 10-12 riders slipstreaming each other, fantastic stuff!!! but if anyone lost the wheel of the guy in front that was your lot!! Bye Bye:wave:
The other race that sticks in my mind was the one with Schwantz Doohan Rainey &? when Schwantz made that last lap pass on the brakes just entering the stadium section, and the rear of the bike was going from side to side!!! as he passed them to go on and win eek.gif eek.gif

Whilst you guys are off to Brands, i get to go to Phillip Island.

Hi Jeff,

Yes, I defiantly travel more now; I work for an International packaging company, doing Technical support, so I am properly on the road about 60% of my time, the good thing is that I sometime can meet up with people from the “old days”.
Last week a had a few beers with Alistair Taylor, I am sure you remember him from you time at Bartol’s place in Austria.

Enjoy Phillip Island..
