all this talk of weather , has prompted me to post this. I know you guys have had a pretty bad summer, but I have always been very keen on wether forecasts both for my racing (& elevation for jetting engine performance etc) and also compound choice on tyres and so on, nut also for my other passion, hunting with falcons that is incredibly weather orientated. of course there is nothing like sticking your head out of the window , but if this helps these are the sites I used to use i the UK.

That was his last official race as far as I know, but since then he's appeared regularily in various "nostalgia" classic meetings aboard vintage factory Yamaha's - at the Coupes Moto-Légende, or the Spa biker's Classics like in the picture below from 2005 .....

I took this picture of Christian Sarron looking at a Heron Suzuki at Spa 2005. The other picture of the 2 older gentlemen getting ready to go out on their 50 cc bikes; just thought it captured the atmosphere at the Classic Biker days at Spa.

Always thought it was taken during some Transatlantic Trophy and that Jim was riding a borrowed bike ! Mind you, the helmet scheme of this Mister John Evans is indeed somehow similar to Jim's design !

Well the text said less rain and there was only 1 raindrop for Sunday as opposed to two for Sunday. Who knows, I guess the weather will be outside all day.

John Evans helmet was black with yellow stripes, Jim Evans if I recall was yellow with red stripes? but in B/W everything looks the same!!

We have managed 35deg C here today in Sydney in early Spring!! But at least its raining at Phillip island. Was talking with Stu Shenton yesterday and I mentioned that I spent way to much time reading and commenting on this Forum....bless Stu, he just said ' Ive noticed"!! We are famous
