I don't recall Dave Dean ever riding one of those 750s. It isn't him anyway!
For a quick "What" (Apart from no longer being with us) did John Newbold & Steve Henshaw have in common?

Assuming you got my little joke about the butchers shop, am I correct thinking Noddy got a career boost from a family Pools win...or did I dream this confused.gif
Remind me Phil, was the DD colour scheme in common with RL Wigan? It was a coincidence it fitted with Yamaha colours but I do think there was a bit of Saarinen in the design. I wish the bloke himself would post!

In fact another of my meagre claims to fame and another thing in commmon with 2 riders is that both Slingem and Noddy had me regfrind sets of their knives and of course thats what they alos had in common was that they both hadin common. Know what did Slingem, Steve Mackin & Lucky supposedly have in common? eek.gif rolleyes.gif and who was Steve Mackin's dads involvement with the sport?

Yup quite right about george ( wills and co ) ~ owned the marlboro brand and had great influence to the sponsorship of motorsport esp at grass routes level when his son came through the ranks too thereby supporting his son's passion helping the strength of the sport at the same time kiss.gif up.gif
Re 1st part I should have put allegedly! blush.gif rolleyes.gif

The word allegedly is a worry; so given the laws of libel and defamation, would the phrase "allegedly required the services of lawyers" cover the question?

It is Herwig Lemmens clap.gif but hes not from Twickenham! Antwerp, Belgium, I think.

No.5 may not be in the programme as he was a last minute entry, he flew in from Florida.
Not much of a clue I know ;)
He certainly did some of the European Championship rounds in '85 on TZ250.
Last raced in '88.

Dave did ride for rogersons in 79 when he dominated the marlboro clubmans series and then got the ride for mitsui the following year.
I remember him lending me some front pads for my 350 at croft in 79 (dont know what make they were but they had some sort of coating on them and he said you didnt need to bed them in.), Anyway they were that much keener than the mintex ones I usually used that I actually lapped slower with them as I was scrubbing off too much speed before I hit the corners. Im sure they would have been good had I had time to get used to them but I put the mintex,s back in and gave them back to Dave.
By the way nice to see you at Brands again Graham and you certainly picked the best day as Sunday was awfull. Rob
