I think #69 is Guennady Liubinski , who was team mate to Eddie Lawson in 1980 , the bike decoration seems to fit - we had a mistery pic a while ago of him and Eddie at Mettet in 1980 , at the time I had never known that Eddie had come to Europe that early . See if I can find it .

A very wild guess....Marcelino Lucchi?
David
No not Marcellino surname was good with the ladies???
From the same set of pictures from Mettet, the above displays a duet of smaller capacity TZ's ( 250's surely?) in identical colours, one with the name of Eddie Lawson and the other one with a certain "gennady" aboard . I googled for a while and I came up with a certain Gennady Lyubimsky who apparently came third in the 1979 250 AMA championship , behind Freddie Spencer (1st) and Eddie Lawson (2nd) . Would it be fair to assume that him and Lawson were team-mates and embarked to Europe together ? What still puzzles me is the year this Mettet pic was taken . In 1980 Lawson had just been drafted by Kawasaki for the US Superbikes series, and had also been equipped with a 250 KR with which he won the AMA championship. So how could he have used 250 and 500 TZ's at Mettet ?
edit : just noticed on the AMA site that Eddie started the 1980 US championship with a 250 Yamaha ( won Daytona ) and later used a KR ( first win in June at Road Atlanta ) so Mettet being around march he may still have been using his TZ's .....oh well

I'd add Patrick Fernandez between Saul and Freymond; Ballington's helmet behind Freymond, and the dark helmet between Freymond and Ekerold might well be Patrick Pons...but the pic is a bit small really !
