Wow, what do you know, that was the meeting that the `macchi went `bang`, in fact, its last competitive outing, tho I did have an abortive attempt at Snetterton on Easter Monday with a borrowed engine, which turned out in practise to be gutless. So that was that, couldn`t afford the rebuild then, even more so now :-( But it did lead to my most enjoyable outing in that years MGP, thanks to my good friend David Whittaker and his Petty Manx, the highlight of my 10 years on Mona`s Isle. Here we go again, down memory lane :-) I`d love to know if there`s anyone else out there that raced a Motom 50 back in the 60`s. Oh dear, I`m showing my age now, started out in `65 with the li`le Motom and finished in `96 with a classic sidecar BMW outfit. Better stop now or I`ll be at it all night !
PS I remember when Dane Rowe was a passenger on the club scene.....God.....I AM that old :-(( Bye for now, I`m sure I`ll be back.
