However, I'd paid the subscription to watch the internet broadcast of the Boxing Day Wanganui roadrace, with a view to watching that, keeping an eye on the test from the MCG, and knocking off a few cold ones on the 38 degree day....as it happened, the power went off at 7am, didn't come back on till after 7pm, so no Wanganui, no MCG test, no aircon, and a fridge of diminishing effect, grrrrr...
