He was a nice bloke and I am sure will be remembered on the forum for his exploits on the club scene in the 70,s etc.
Regards Mark
I was only talking to an old friend of his today he was telling that Roger had banged his leg and it caused a blood clot.

This has been on before, but re-done at a larger size! Who is the rider with RIG..P? on his leathers in green jacket? Phil could you check the programme as I no longer have it!? Please.
Other than the two obvious ones anyone else you recognize?

Ok Oh (sometimes) wise one

The main reason I suggested our friend Mr Rigal is that it is the only close enough name in said proggy . Also it is conceivable that they knew each other as Monaco is a home to many nations and he could just be living there.
I do remember RIGP finance but there is no mention in the prog at all
Perhaps someone else has other ideas ??? Who did RIGP sponser ?? Heeeeeeeeeeelp

Yes, Smartie was supported by them, think it was around'76. The pic though looks nothing like him, more like Phil Haslam but by the time I think this was taken he was gone...... Totally of the wall suggestion: Percy Tait ?

Another idea . Haircut stance etc . Was John Weeden ever sponsered by them . This must have been during his time with Wide Range and I'm sure he had one of those awful Honda Jackets

Yes Paul Smart did, but how about Julian Soper? he bought Pauls bike off him 1977/8?, is he in the programme Phil? Its to tall for Percy. This is 1978 guys.

Photo Copyrighted to Graham Etheridge, racebikepics. Fu, Phil , Andy , Rus etc could this have been taken a bit later than we think? yes the renold box van behind them looks ancient , but there is a Mercedes van ( 608D?) in the distance... just a thought?
ppps Fu you posted 78 while I was typing so that would I would be right then ;) the old tranny and renold van made me think it was mid seventies rather than late.

Yes - I remember us mulling over that RIGP rider on the previous forum!
Dave Camier was sponsored by Paul Smart under the RIGP Towerbrook banner around 76/77. Could it be him?
Great shot by the way - the paddock ones really take you back
