Just seen a picture on another forum, of Robin Milton, sadly in a wheelchair? I dont really remember to much about that? Anyway couple of pics of Robin in earlier days 1986 on 125 MBA British GP

Photo Copyrighted to Graham Etheridge, racebikepics.
and 1996 on TZ250 #11,

Photo Copyrighted to Graham Etheridge, racebikepics.

One for you perhaps Nigel?
LamboNZ
Yeah unfortunately Robin was paralysed in a crash going into clearways, and the bike followed him in to the tyre wall. This was final qualifying for the 250 supercup race, pretty sure it was 1996 like your pic.

Also Adrian Coates next to him, pitlane Ann Haslam and Adrian Clarks older brother.

Haven't we had this before young Graham.... Is the stroker Aermacchi pilot Brian Hussey ? Dunno about the others. The guy on what looks like a Seeley framed G50 - distinctive crankcases visible there ? - looks a bit weird on the riding style front ?

Graham, could you please elucidate ?? (If that's the right word) confused.gif

Is this skateboard F1 or the real 2-wheeled version ??

If it's the skateboards re the Max/Bernie show, then quite honestly, I couldn't give a flying wotsit, good riddance IMHO. clap.gif

Force India are having some sponsorship problems also, how long before the mighty Toyota reconsider all the money they are pouring into the money lpi, with very little in the way of return?

No me neither (oh sorry Mick, its Skateboard version) but its linked to the general down turn in sales of Motor vehicles, and if its affecting Honda cars how are bike sales going, and on that note, Suzuki (MotoGP) have not got a sponsor as yet as Rizla have not said yes or no! Kawasaki are racing without a sponsor, how long can these companies go on spending millions of pounds for little or no return? And sponsors are going to be in short supply as companies cut advertising budgets!!
F1 has become unsustainable in the present circumstances, and I wont shed a tear if it folds in its present format, but thousands of jobs are reliant on Motorsport especially in the UK. :\

Graham.

I do believe that motorcycle racing is now in the doldrums.

MotoGP is alive only because of the continued appearance of Rossi. If he ever decided to transfer to F1 (improbable, we all know) I do believe that the general public would totally lose interest in MotoGP.

The TT. A total travesty of what it used to be, not a real race bike in sight, just a showcase for all the yamonduki clones pushed by the manufacturers and with the collusion of the ACU mafia. A disgrace to the finest sport ever devised by man.

rant over.

I think you will find this is true of most forms of motorsport, club car racing, Rallying, F1, way too much money involved, tracks become homogenised, costs rise, interest wanes. I would say that is why this forum is so well patronised up.gif

Agree with your points totally, used to love the Manx Rally clap.gif

I knew there was something very familiar about that pic, but it just wouldn´t come to me. Graham Waring indeed. I had the great pleasure of meeting Graham at the Ulster GP one year, 1977 I think it was, where he finished on the podium after a great ride. Lovely fellow he was.

Just thinking back to my early days, as a kid wandering around the paddock at Brands etc.

Does anyone remember a guy called Roger Klimke?, he had a RG500, TZ750 and a Winnebago motorhome. All of this and doing mainly Brands club races in the late seventies.

Going back a few days, sorry guys but been off the forum for a while due to a spot of Leg and hip surgery (we all have to pay for our fun later on) and a broken 'puter to boot.

Someone put a pic' of Roger Klimke on the forum some months back asking about him (i'm sure graham or somebody can find it) I posted a reply re' what I think was his last race at Snetteton.

Nice to be back smile.gif Cheers Martin

Hi graham/ Rhodie, the pic was on the old thread probably 6 months or so ago but I'm not sure who posted it or how to get to the old thread, but I definitely replied to it about the last race which was the on the Snett long circuit iirc I won it and I believe he hurt himself quite badly and snapped his 750 in two eek.gif

I think the pic was a paddock shot of him standing in front of his bike.
