Picblanc - I am still here!

Can't quite remember the name of the guy on the TZ250. I do remember he was from 'up north' around Barnsley/Doncaster direction. Had a great ride in an unlimited race at Brands, beating many 500s on his 250. Caught the eye of Brands Hatch boss, who gave him a fair amount of money in sponsorship. I think he was expected to spend the money on a new bike, smarter paintwork etc. However, so the rumour goes, he bought himself a new car, and his girlfriend a new washing machine and turned up at the next Brands with the same old bike with some Brands stickers on!!

Was a sound guy with possibly the right attitude!!

Hi Guys,

Again, thanks for the welcome, I really appreciate it. And being the "new guy", I certainly don't want to stir anything up. smile.gif However, why is it when I see photos of early TZs in the U.K. the front single disc is usually mounted on the wrong side (left side)? Not that it makes any difference..........just wondering. wink.gif

These things were great to watch!!, I am just reading the Niall Mackenzie book (yes I know its a few years old but I bought it off EvilBay a year a go!) Niall started his career off on one, and Steve Chambers had many a great ride on one, along with some other great names from those days, Kenny Irons, Ray Swann, Neil Robinson, Andy Watts, Alan Carter etc etc. But who do the helmets belong to?

In the Southern hemisphere the water goes the other way down the sink compared to the Northern hemisphere. That means that the rotors are on different sides....cos it would be spinning backwards if not fitted correctly....make sense??? roflmao.gif
