Hi Guys,

Again, thanks for the welcome, I really appreciate it. And being the "new guy", I certainly don't want to stir anything up. smile.gif However, why is it when I see photos of early TZs in the U.K. the front single disc is usually mounted on the wrong side (left side)? Not that it makes any difference..........just wondering. wink.gif

This is going the wrong way already and going to sound very anal, but those of us old enough to have raced an early 4LS drum brake TZ, you're all out there! and will all know the answer - I'm obviously the only one prepared to admit it roflmao.gif

The drum was very powerful and okish in the dry but evil in the wet if not set up properly so to convert to a disc most people used a bottom fork leg and brake system from the XS650 4 stroke twin Yam which happened to fit the TZ stanchion perfectly, but the disc was on the left and when they started to come factory fitted (from the C model onwards I think) they decided to fit them on the right, simple as that.

How sad am I frown.gif
