Makes you wonder about this supposed new 600 class though?
As I posted back on page 98, 24th Dec:-
(If you were a manufacturer and running in both MotoGP and WSB you would have to think very carefully about which series you continued to support. I know which I would do. WSB. As a manufacturer you already make the bike, it's production based, not a one off. You probably get more sales from WSB than MotoGP anyway. Now apply this logic to all teams in MotoGP/WSB, WSB/AMA, BSB/Superstock, etc, etc and see what you're left with. Not a lot.
Makes you wonder what will happen to 125's/250's. After all, you can continue to run cheap strokers or change to a new bike with a "diesel", (re 4 stroke), production engine which would be much cheaper than the strokers anyway.)
Small Part was around today for a coffee and we ended up talking about exactly this and how it's all gone to hell in a s**t cart. We didn't really come to an answer apart from agreeing that you do WSB and run a small national championship team and that we are and like being grumpy old men.
I'm just off to the workshop to sort through some Mk7 bits to see what I need to get painted, plated, etc for the rebuild I'm doing. Brakes are seized solid, oh goody. Bit bl**dy parky though even with all the insulation I've just put in.
