Not the best way of preparing a team to face the Yanks I think!?

Hi all, and a Happy New Year.
Just back from a web free Norfolk, where the Barn Owls put on a bit of a show for me one night.
Anyway, couple of things jogged my memory .
Alan Nies, mentioned a page or two back, was the first person i ever saw fall off a racing bike, at McLeans, Donington on 12 April 1980. Noted neatly in my prgramme of the day. Nice to hear his name again.
Re the above, wasn't the Makaha deal set up by George Harrison? And did I read somewhere that Stavros never actually saw any money out of it? (they went bust mid year, without the money ever getting to the team?)
And finally, jogged by the Pasolini pic, has anyone else got the TT Memorial book? Talk about a labour of love, but some excellent, if at times heartbreaking articles on all those to have paid the ultimate price on the IOM.
Cheers for now
