Hi Andy , do you have alink to where we can register our teams though? confused.gif
andyb1963
Hi Julian it says on that page that we can register for it from 4th Feb so we'll have to wait until then but I think once you register it tells you how to set up your own league and that sort of stuff . When it comes out I will register and set up a league and then I will invite everybody on here if you like confused.gif up.gif

It's the ignition mount thingy off a Mk7 RGB500 production racer that I'm currently restoring. Frame and black parts, rear wishbone, calipers, rear caliper hanger, upper and lower clamps, faring brackets etc, currently off at painters, other bits all round my garage in various states of cleaning.

Morning all,

Bumped into an old pal Paul Lewis yesterday and told him about this forum, i think once he has trawled through the 400+ pages he will start posting here.Told him that Stu and Jeff Sayle are contributors and he sounded very interested. Now working as a Marketing Consultant for a Harley Davidson Group based in Slough and is going to be riding their XR1200R in the one make series that i think is supporting BSB this year.
Another old face is Trevor Nation who is working for Crescent Suzuki in Verwood Dorset, still as mad as a box of frogs and his huge grin still much in evidence !
Thats all this morning from your South Coast reporter and handing you back to the studio !

Oh Dear , the dreaded Harley series which has imposed itself on our native Superbike race series . Along with the KTM RC8 ,its slowly turning into a second rate production meeting . All we have left are the 125s after the 250GP class was axed in '01.
Haven't we had enough of this after the Triumph Speed Triple fiasco and Harley "Sportsters" ?
These new classe will have folks clamouring to buy the Honda cb500 twins as Classics . At least they made good spectating . "Hardly " Davidsons back again ---what next ?

Hi folks,

for sure not 1976, it's a 1975/76 ex works TR750 and i'm sure there was no use of the bikes outside the Suzuki GB Team in 1976. In 1977 John Newbold got a bike loaned from Suzuki GB to use it one time in the brit.Formula 750 heat.

So my question, does anyone here know about the way of the bike to Mick Patrick?

cheers

Could be worse!! they might of gone for the Gilera Scooters again!! remember them? Well I don't I always went for a beer followed by a pee while they were on, so I suppose they had some use!! mad.gif
Other than the 125GP class at BSB, now it is ALL production racing, exactly why I no longer attend, and now enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and wide wide variety of machinery at Classic race meets. up.gif (old fart that I am!!) rolleyes.gif

Obviously a very old photo, (about 2004 I would say!) funny enough I was reading a few......lets call them back issues (for politeness!) of Classic Racer and you appeared in them, I didn't know you had been at the Classic racing for so long (ish!wink.gif )
Really looking forward to this season, hope your going to be defending that title this year on the Rottweiler!?
Good to hear from you Roy.

Hi Roy wave.gif

Didn't you race in the F/Era factory class in the late 80's/early 90's?

I seem to remember your name from the club, other riders I recall were Dave Brown/Graham Salter/John Woods and of course the late Rob Gourlay cry.gif

Graham, i think you mean old issues!

I was very young tongue.gif when i came back for another muck about. It just never leaves you it seems. rolleyes.gif

Not sure about this season, i'll do a bit depending on the money situation.

Have been reading about last weekends island classic at phillip island and i'm gutted i couldn't make it. As they run 17" slicks i'm tempted to do a few meetings with them on to get me up to speed(ish!) for next year.

Talking of the island classic grahamw's moriwaki looks made for it cool.gif

exclubracer, i did start back with frc in the late 90's first with my 750 and a bit later with the 250.
Thats where i learnt cadwell!!

Steve Wright rode it at the British GP meeting at Silverstone in the August of 1977, what happened to it after I don't know?

Just checking early 1978 programme Trans Trophy, Kevin Stowe was the only rider listed on a TR750, and I think he rode for Harold around then, so it might of been the same one as the 1977 bike? :\

Hi that makes two of us Roy. Nick Chadwick seems to have gone quite well on Arnie Fletchers 750 particularely as on the photo,s Ive seen he was using avon,s front and rear. I think he was second fastest of the brits from what Ive read.. Gets me Roy you cant use 17,s but Fred can run his Rg on 17,s and big forks and its past the cut off date for period three but still scoring in the period three championship. Something needs sorting out!!. Rob

It aint the gardner bike if thats what you mean, thats stuck away in a museum in japland,I built it up over the last year from scratch to do CRMC races/olivers mount-sheene classic races on.Its as near to the orig as you'll get but with a few modern day advantages-tyres-eng tuning etc should be fun if we get any dry days this year ! They didnt, as far as I know the bike has been stood in Arnie Fletchers garage just has it was last raced by Keith until a few months ago when it had the engine rebuilt and was shipped off to philip Island for this meeting. Good to see it being used again.
