So far the general impression is that the FIA is bent, biased toward Ferarri...that seems to be the general view.

But maybe of more interest, Damon Hill and Sir Striling Moss are going to be on the show in the next hour to give their views....

I gather Sterling Moss once went to fight the stewards on ANOTHER dirvers behalf.........the driver who had beat him and went on to win the Championship that year? Something over a reversing on the track incident??..........His view might be interesting.....

Still, its there if you want to hear what the wider general public in the UK think about it.

I would hardly call the type of listener that Gaunt attracts the 'wider general public in the UK'. What an utterly reprehensible human being he is.

Mike Hawthorn, Portugal 1958. Moss won, Hawthorn 2nd (all but a lap behind). Hawthorn was pushed backwards on the final lap off the track, and Stirling said as it was off track it didn't count. The stewards eventually agreed.

Well, I dare say that the people calling him up are not quite as ...erm..."dedicated" as some on here, so it does represent a wider view....and with Damon HIll and Sterling Moss being on the show, I thought it might be interesting to some, hence the post....

He said about an hour ago he was having Stirling Moss and Damon Hill on to talk about it......but I think they will leave it until the last hour now...as yes, they seemt o be talking about immigration and soldiers going nuts......

Says he let Kimi by, then had a go at him...what was he supposed to do, wait some seconds longer?....

Says it can't stand as a ruling, must be overturned...

Asked about FIA bias.......he says he thinks they play fair...but it does at least "appear" as if there is bias........

Says Lewis will bounce back.....

Aksed if he is confident the ruling will be overturned, he says he is not confident.......

Just had TalkSport on again, Ian Wright and some other chap...Football, Football, Football, Football, Football.......then Tennis, then F1...talking about the news of the week.......

Mentioned that Lewis lost out on a technicality.......and briefly pondered the race.....

Ian Wright seems to have the impression that someone is trying to hold Lewis back..and he said he hoped it was not because he was English, and people don't like the British at the moment....

His Co-Host then went on to say words to the effect "Well, there is a rumour, people have said.....well, I don't want to say too much....but there is mention of the "R" word".........or words to that effect...

I mention this only to express that this is where a lot of people will hear about F1, as TalkSport is pretty popular.....and its a sad sad state of affairs.....

I know it is ridiculous to suggest that the Spa Penalty was to do with Racism, thats just a sad blooming joke.......but I wonder....with Smax and his alleged Nazi leanings........is this the reason why people can believe that racism plays a part in this?.....Or is it what happened in Spain (though I imagine far fewer people in the general public know about that than know about Max and his parties so should be less of an influence)....

This is really sad, I can't imagine a much more cosmopolitan sport than F1........and yet here it is being dragged through the mud and being labled as racist by media outlets..........

FFS......one thing is for sure from Spa....

Talksport = donkey toss. Anybody that listens and respects the opinions expressed needs help. Some of the reactions evoked as a result of this penalty are way OTT!

I was at silverstone and i was amazed by the amount of junk food being consumed. I agree it is full of fat people, unlike my beautiful gothenburg

lol.....no, not faulty....I keep pressing while I'm thinking................................and that takes some time ;)

But yeah, I don't listen to it for political insight, but it is often good humoured and makes me laugh. I don't even like football, but they do some funny radio at times, and it's not as "serious" as the BBC which I generaly use for just news.....

I'm sure he said it just to get a rise out of people. I mean, I have seen the "R" word mentioned a few times with reguard to ChicaneGate, but mostly just in passing comments on News Paper forums. And I suspect that the sort of person who sees race as an issue in F1 would see race as an issue everywhere. But still, F1 has not been getting the best headlines this year.

Time for some positive PR....maybe Max could organise some sort of Rally......Nurenburgh maybe?...

Im inclined sometimes to think similar of here! Some of the dross thats posted the instant Hamilton breathes slighty wrong is just ridiculous!

However, talksport has been my friend for years. It may have some daft presenters, some stupid moments, and people who appear not to have the first clue about what they are talking about - But Mike Parry and Alan Brazil when they were together in the mornings was unmissable!

Maybe Flavio will open a Cipriani's at Donington so we can all look as good as the Swedes.
