Rain smile.gif

Is it me or the live timing doesn't work?
Atic Atac
Last reports show heavy rain during quali on saturday and light rain during the sunday

So we may have a race similar to Spa.. drunk.gif

First Practice seems very wet, just seen massa come off, safely though. I think the rain is messing up the live feed right now though.

Sutil Fastest in FP1, Massa Slowest and the Mclarens didn't even get a chance to set a time. Heavy Heavy Rain and the Pits are about to flood.

I doubt it will rain. I live it up the road... the internet weather forecasts always predict rain at the moment, but it never happens.

Take last week as an example - I was expecting thunderstorms everyday, but we had brilliant sunshine (with a little cloud) every day.

"but it never happens"

"Never" is a very very long time.....

Or in this case, about 1 day..... smile.gif

Still, it looked like "every day" of our glorious British "Summer"...I think I have seen the sun about 5 times since March......lol.

times are worthless except ... what odds could you have got on Sutil topping FP1?

I don't think so, either - not for the whole race anyway (F1).

Haven't seen anything but from what I've read this is the kind of situation where you could never have a race (rivers on the track...) so it's better to have this today than for Sunday's race.

It will be dry for the race down.gif

I must say it was definitely the most entertaining non-f1-running end of sessions I've seen. Drainage system surrender and mechanics all over the pitlane were seen frantically removing water from the garages, the track-level camera was well underwater and entire track looked like a pond. Plus, it was unbelievably dark.

Looks like quali will be full wet and race will be wet or damp or drying.

A weird season weather wise. In 2003 it was baking hot just about everywhere and this season its been very cool and wet at places not normally known for rain.

I think its going to be decisive for the championship.

That is why 'Global Warming' has suddenly become 'Climate Change'. smile.gif

Looks like Bruno Senna's still in with a shot at the GP2 title then. In these conditions an 11-point swing is certainly possible. eek.gif

those conditions in FP1 were somethin else, that was incredible!tomorrow looks no better, can see quali possibly being delayed if its anything like that again (WAY too dangerous on track,as well as in the pits) sunday looks wet,but maybe not quite as heavy as the rain in FP1

Cold/ wet/ damp comditions and Bridgedsone ahs brought the medium and hard compounds. This hardly plays into Ferrari's hands.
stevvy1986
they made the choice ages ago, unsurprisingly they expected hot and sunny conditions this weekend......they werent to know we'd be seeing whats probably the wettest monza race weekend ever with low temperatures (well, low compared to monza standards anyway)
peroa
1 weekend too late. It was sunny in this region the whole week (28-29°C)
Tenmantaylor
Rain predicted today and tomorrow. Looks like Lewis has brought the weather with him!

Dunno. Just that said driver was driving in 4th place, in Monaco, in the wet, a few laps before the finish...
